Description

Overview
The MH Multipass 5,2 - 4 channel pyro is a Herriott-type quad-channel multipass gas cell designed to increase sensitivity in non-dispersive infrared (NDIR) analysis. The compact 120 mm housing provides an extended optical path of approximately 5.2 m (one paragraph on the source page also references ~3.9 m). The cell supports simultaneous four-channel measurement for trace gas detection and reference signals in compact analytical and OEM applications.

Key facts
  • Compact Herriott-type multipass cell (≈5.2 m optical path / 120 mm total length)
  • Optimized for Micro-Hybrid JSIR 350-4 emitters and 4-channel pyro/thermopile detectors
  • Rigid, vibration-resistant mirror mounts for stable alignment
  • 6061-T6 aluminum housing with PTFE coating, gold-coated K9 mirrors, CaF₂ windows
  • Gas-tight O-ring sealing system
  • Detectable gases: CO, CO₂, CH₄, SO₂, NO, N₂O, SF₆, etc.
  • Operating temperature: -20 °C to +60 °C; pressure range: 500–1300 mbar

Features and detailed description
The 6061-T6 aluminum housing with a PTFE protective layer reduces corrosion and contamination risk in humid or chemically aggressive environments. Gold-coated K9 mirrors and CaF₂ windows ensure high reflectivity and IR transmission across a broad wavelength range. The rigid mirror mounts and vibration-resistant mechanical design secure optical alignment and long-term signal stability under dynamic industrial conditions. A gas-tight O-ring sealing system supports safe operation between 500 and 1300 mbar. The HC 3900 quad is optically matched to Micro-Hybrid JSIR 350-4 emitters and quad-channel thermopile or pyroelectric detectors, enabling integration into Micro-Hybrid NDIR platforms and OEM modules. The cell is configurable for multiple target gases and environmental setups and is suitable for emission monitoring, analytical instruments, and compact NDIR systems.
