Overview
The Milacron L-Series is a large-part low-pressure injection molding platform designed for single-cycle production of ultra-large plastic parts using structural foam, structural web, gas-assist and solid part molding techniques. The machine integrates a rugged clamp, nozzle sequencing for multi-resin or multi-color shots, FANUC servo drives and MOSAIC+ controls to improve process repeatability and energy efficiency while protecting mold assets.

Additional Info
Milacron’s Structural Foam process creates parts with a solid surface and a cellular foamed core by introducing nitrogen during resin melt and allowing internal gas expansion during injection. This enables thicker wall sections and detailed geometries at lower mold pressures, often using simpler aluminum molds. Structural Web uses targeted gas injection through mold nozzles to create internal hollow channels and reduce sink, delivering good cosmetic finish and color uniformity without gas in the melt phase.
