Milacron single-screw extruders provide versatile, cost-effective solutions for a wide range of thermoplastic extrusion processes. Design & Materials
All single-screw extruders include a robust gear reducer with a heavy-duty integral thrust bearing to extend gearbox life. Machine designs feature multiple clamp configurations for faster die changeover. Proprietary screw and barrel coating technologies deliver enhanced wear protection and lower life-cycle costs. Screws and barrels are produced from high-quality steel and can be finished with optional chrome plating or carbide encapsulation for abrasive or demanding applications. Customized screw geometries are available to optimize specific extrusion processes.

Features
Standard features include robust gearboxes (integral thrust bearing), oil cooling where required, tailored lubrication methods and options for gearbox rebuilds and upgrades. TEFC motors (Total Enclosed Fan Cooled) provide reliable, low-maintenance cooling with energy efficiency above 90%. Systems are offered with a suite of extrusion options and support from experienced process engineers to evaluate equipment and develop tailored extrusion solutions.
