Overview
PCIe-AE304bp is a fanless, wide-temperature, single-slot half-length PCIe add-on card providing four native 100/1000BASE-T1 Automotive Ethernet ports for in-vehicle test, validation and edge compute systems. It interfaces directly with high-bandwidth sensors such as LiDAR and radar without external media converters.

Introduction
100/1000BASE-T1 Automotive Ethernet offers a scalable, weight- and space-saving communication backbone for ADAS and autonomous-driving development. By supporting single-pair cabling and locking H‑MTD connectors, BASE‑T1 reduces wiring complexity while enabling high-throughput links for data-intensive sensors. PCIe-AE304bp is intended for test platforms and edge systems that require deterministic connectivity and precise timing.

Design and Integration
The card integrates four Marvell 88Q2221M Automotive Ethernet PHYs and supports software-configurable 100/1000BASE-T1 operation with flexible master/slave settings. It requires a PCIe Gen2 x4 host lane in a standard x4 slot and installs directly into x86-based test systems without external converters. The locking automotive H‑MTD interface minimizes vibration-induced disconnects. IEEE 1588 PTP support enables sub-microsecond time synchronization with connected sensors.
