Overview
The KARE+ is a connected 3-in-1 room sensor designed to complement a certified but non-connected smoke detector. It combines photoelectric smoke detection with temperature and humidity monitoring in a single device. The unit is engineered for a designed operational lifetime of 10 years and is available with multiple radio protocol options. It is intended for landlords, property owners and building maintenance professionals.

Main functions

• Smoke detection: photoelectric (optical/Tyndall effect) sensor for early detection of smoky conditions.
• Temperature monitoring: high-resolution measurement (0.1°C) for ambient condition tracking.
• Humidity monitoring: relative humidity tracking to support indoor air quality management.
• Connected features: remote maintenance alerts (faults, low battery, critical parameters), remote monitoring options, integration with a digital logbook (QR code + app) and NAVIXIS platform; API interface and connectors for integration with facility management software.
• User controls: large touch-sensitive front button for test/silence functions, discreet standby LED and powerful visible alarm light for alarm state.

• Installation & mounting: BASE+ compact mounting base (3 cm diameter), approved 3M adhesive fastener option, universal mounting base for easy replacement, anti-tear detection and lockable mounting base options to reduce unauthorized removal.

Operational notes
The KARE+ reinforces a non-connected certified smoke detector but does not replace an approved smoke detector. For accurate temperature and humidity measurements, wall mounting is recommended at 30–60 cm below the ceiling. The device can be configured not to transmit fire alarms by default and can be integrated with approved remote monitoring services or adjusted to transmit alarms as required.
