Description

NYFROST 100 is characterized by having very low pour point, good cold flowing properties and high thermal and chemical stability NYFROST 100 can be used in refrigerators using refrigerants such as hydrocarbons, ammonia and CFC's The benefits of using NYFROST 100 are the high thermal stability and low volatility, enhancing performance in hotter running applications like air conditioners The benefits of using naphthenic base oils for this application are the high solvent power and the very good low temperature properties that are leading to good floc points for the refrigerant-oil mixture. NYFROST 100 is characterized by having a high flash point, and enhanced high thermal and chemical stability. This makes NYFROST 100 especially well-suited for high evaporation and condensation temperatures, as encountered e.g. in air conditioners and where turbo compressors are employed. Being essentially wax-free, NYFROST 100 maintains a low pour point and good cold flow properties. It displays low corrosion towards iron, copper and aluminium. NYFROST 100 can be employed in refrigerators using refrigerants like Isobutane (R600a), Ammonia (R717) or CFC's (R12 and R 22). NYFROST 100 is a hydrotreated naphthenic base oil, classified as an API Group V base oil. The viscosity at 40°C is 100 cSt and this is the product with highest viscosity among our NYFROST grades.
