Description

Specification Definition
Retention basin for flow regulation or hydraulic invariance, produced by an ISO 9001/2008 certified company, suitable for the accumulation and gradual discharge of rainwater collected from impermeable surfaces or urban drainage networks, composed of spirally wound polyethylene pipes reinforced with galvanized steel conforming to UNI 11434 standard, suitable for burial under trafficable surfaces. The system is complete with inlets, outlets, and inspections made with polyethylene [PE] stubs and housing for lift pumps to raise water to higher levels. Extensions, installable on the inspections of all artifacts, optional.

Specifications
PALARETAIN basins are made with polyethylene and galvanized steel pipes class DX51 D + Z F/Z, conforming to UNI EN 10346 standard, incorporated into the pipe wall. Continuous coupling of the steel core to the polyethylene walls is achieved through chemical fastening ensuring polyethylene-steel solidarity and their perfect and uninterrupted adhesion. Therefore, they are much lighter than those made with other materials [e.g., concrete, fiberglass, etc.] resulting in extremely economical and rapid transport and installation.

Usage
PALARETAIN retention basins act by accumulating rainwater that falls on impermeable areas to then be discharged into surface water bodies with a much lower hydraulic flow, thus hindering the phenomenon of flood waves. They are used to prevent overloading of white/mixed sewer pipes during intense weather events. The final discharge phase of the accumulated water generally occurs by gravity through pipes with free light discharge outlets, with a smaller diameter than the inlet pipe, placed at the bottom of the basin. There are cases where the final discharge involves the use of appropriately sized submersible pumps installed inside the same basins, which are controlled and monitored by electrical panels equipped with inverter electronic systems capable of varying the hydraulic performance of the pumps and ensuring the discharge of the design flow.

Compatibility
High compatibility of PALADEX® pipes with all types of lifting systems.
Retention basins are generally inserted into urban drainage networks to form temporary accumulation volumes, so they must be able to connect with different types of pipes. The versatility of the Paladex® pipe allows the creation of connections, fittings, inspection, and maintenance systems tailored to every design need.
