Product Description

• The EMF Fluxgate Magnetic Field Meter LM-MP6000-EMF is designed for measuring very weak magnetic fields and testing according to IATA953.
• With the List-Magnetik LM-MP6000-EMF fluxgate magnetometer, very weak DC and AC magnetic fields in the range of 0-400 µT (microtesla), 0-4 G (gauss), or 0-300 A/m can be measured.
• The device operates with a transverse fluxgate probe.

Special Applications

• Detecting magnetic fields in packages or luggage without opening, especially for compliance with IATA packaging regulation 953 and UN 2807 (dangerous goods regulation for magnetized materials).
• Approval for air transport when magnetic field strength is below 0.159 A/m (2 mG, 200 µT) at 2.1 m distance.
• Labeling requirement when magnetic field strength is below 0.418 A/m (5.25 mG, 525 µT) at 4.6 m distance.
• More strongly magnetic items are not approved for air freight.

• Weak electromagnetic alternating fields (e.g., from electrical devices) can be graphically displayed with frequency indication, Fourier analysis supports evaluation.
