Description

Product overview
The RCS is a modular rail-climbing system for wall formwork and climbing protection panels. Rail-guided climbing keeps the moving unit permanently connected to the structure, enabling fast and safe vertical progress by crane or mobile climbing hydraulics. The system is configurable to site requirements and suited for multi-storey construction.

Key features
  • Rail-guided climbing with climbing shoe connection to the building for continuous anchorage during lifting
  • Modular components allow adaptation to different storey heights and facade geometries
  • Units moved by crane or by mobile hydraulic climbing units for crane-independent operation
  • Attachment options for walls and slab edges; horizontal rail arrangement possible for large cantilevers
  • Designed for safe operation in windy conditions

Variations
  • RCS C — Formwork scaffolding — standard support for wall formwork; supported storey heights 2.70 m to 4.50 m; with carriage (90 cm retraction)
  • RCS CL — Light climbing formwork — for external facades and cores of medium-height buildings; suitable where crane capacity or crane time is limited
  • RCS P — Climbing protection panel — enclosure and guardrails for gap-free perimeter protection of shell floors

Applications
  • High-rise and multi-storey building construction where safe, continuous anchorage during climbing is required
  • Use as climbing formwork for wall casting and as integrated protection panels for perimeter safety
  • Project examples: V&A East; 80 Charlotte Street; Hollis Croft

Technical specifications
