Description

Spinworx® – for SAH machining New POKOLM high-performance cutting materials for SAH machining with SPINWORX® POKOLM is renowned for its spectrum of perfectly matched products in the field of milling technology. Just recently the company has added a range of extremely powerful cutting materials for SAH machining to its portfolio surrounding the Ø 12 mm SPINWORX® milling system. The extremely tough and wear-proof M35 quality guarantees especially high cutting-edge stability. What’s more, the thick CVD coating offers unmatched temperature and wear resistance. The optimised cutting edge and chip groove of the self-rotating round plates are designed to provide the greatest possible stability while keeping cutting forces low. Variants with clearance angles of 11° and 15° are available to guarantee the perfect geometry for a variety of SAH materials. For example, the plate with 15° clearance angle is especially suited for the machining of titanium alloys. In field use with highly heat resistant alloys, machining times could be cut down to half compared with conventional tools while dramatically increasing the service life with no machine halts or plate changes. When it comes to stainless materials, dry or MMS machining with high cutting rates take centre stage while wet machining is possible at speeds of up to 140 m/min. As to titanium and highly heat-resistant alloys, the manufacturer recommends using emulsion as coolant. The new cutting materials will be available as of September 2016 also for the system sizes DR07, DR10, and DR16.
