This grade exhibits a good combination of stiffness, toughness, mechanical damping ability with wear and abrasion resistance and can easily be welded. In less demanding applications with respect to wear and impact resistance, Quadrant PE 500 may present an economical alternative for the TIVAR® standard grades.
Quadrant PE 500 is a versatile polyethylene grade used mainly in the food industry [meat and fish processing] but it is also put to use in all kinds of mechanical, chemical and electrical applications.
MAIN CHARACTERISTICS
- Good chemical resistance to wear and abrasion
- Good impact resistance, even at low temperatures
- Low water absorption
