Overview
SafeReady by ReeR is a compact, programmable safety light curtain family designed for industrial automation. Certified Type 4 – PL e, SafeReady provides reliable operator protection and simplified integration for compact and reconfigurable production systems.

Construction and environmental ratings
The housing is powder-coated aluminium engineered for high resistance to shock and vibration (CEI EN 60068). Protection ratings: IP65 and IP67. Operating temperature: -30 °C to +55 °C, suitable for refrigerated and harsh environments.

Resolutions and ranges
Available resolutions meet finger, hand and body protection requirements:

• 14 mm – finger protection
• 20, 30, 40 mm – hand protection
• 50 mm – 90 mm – body protection
• 2, 3, 4 beams – access control

Protected heights up to 2 m. Ranges up to 18 m (Low Range 0–8 m; High Range 6–18 m).

No blind zone and alignment
SafeReady eliminates blind zones at both barrier sides, enabling continuous detection across the field. This reduces required safety distances and may reduce mechanical guards. Alignment is assisted by four high‑brightness front LEDs to speed installation and maintenance.

Connectivity and smart configuration (Plus models)
Plus models support Bluetooth configuration and monitoring via a dedicated app. The app displays identification and physical data, beam status and positions, LED and blanking modes, and allows configuration of beam coding, response times, restart modes and blanking functions.

Blanking functions
SafeReady integrates fixed and floating blanking for dynamic processes:

• Fixed blanking – permanently exclude selected beams (e.g. controlled passage of a workpiece)
• Floating blanking – follow material movement along the protected area while keeping the hazard zone protected

These functions reduce unwanted stops and improve productivity.

Diagnostics and status lamp
Integrated multi‑colour status lamp and diagnostic LEDs give immediate operational feedback. In Plus models the same information is available via Bluetooth. Status meanings:

• RED – Break
• GREEN – Guard
• ORANGE blinking – Clear (waiting for restart)
• ORANGE – Blanking enabled
• BLUE – Bluetooth connection

Cabling and connectors
Pigtail cable with M12 connector; connector position is adjustable and cables are replaceable to support long‑term maintenance and integration.

Models and main functions
The SafeReady range covers three model levels to match application complexity:

• Basic – automatic restart
• Standard – automatic or manual restart (selectable) and EDM
• Plus – automatic or manual restart (selectable), EDM and advanced safety functions configurable via Bluetooth app

Monitoring and settings (app features)
The app (Plus) shows identification data and physical characteristics, individual beam status and LED modes, and permits setting beam coding, response time, restart type, blanking mode (fixed/floating) and pre‑reset activation.
