The R&S®AD033V3 is an omnidirectional UHF antenna system for naval applications, covering the frequency range from 225 MHz to 450 MHz. The antenna can be used for transmit and/or receive purposes. Circularly arranged dipoles around the center support structure are combined to one output, resulting in excellent omnidirectional behavior. The antenna is designed for simultaneous use by several independent transmitters.
Key facts
Excellent omnidirectionality
High input power for simultaneous use of multiple radio lines
Stackable antenna design
Reduced RCS
DC grounding for lightning strike protection
Excellent omnidirectionality
For undisrupted communications
The R&S®AD033V3 has eight vertically polarized dipoles arranged in a circle in front of a reflector. The individual dipoles are combined to one output with excellent omnidirectionality. The whole antenna is arranged around a central mast, enabling uninterrupted omnidirectional communications.
High input power
For simultaneous use of multiple radio lines
The R&S®AD033V3 omnidirectional UHF antenna is designed to handle high input power, enabling a series of individual transmitters to simultaneously connect to a single antenna. This reduces the space needed compared with the conventional design using one antenna for each radio and also helps avoid the typical interference between antennas.
Stackable antenna design
For easy mounting and retrofitting
The R&S®AD033V3 is designed as a wrap-around antenna for masts. The antenna has excellent omnidirectional behavior. As RX and TX paths are sometimes separated, a second antenna is required. The AD033V3 is stackable, making it easy to mount additional antennas.
