Overview
The small cartoner is an inline machine for automatic erection of pre-folded cartons, insertion of products and instructions (leaflets/manuals), printing of batch numbers and closing (ear folding and tongue insertion). It is configured for blister packs, bottles, sachets, tubes and similar small items and can be equipped with different feeders and an optional hot melt glue unit for sealing.

Process Steps

• Carton erection: mechanical arms or suction devices pick up a flat carton and form it to open position.
• Product feeding: products are transferred from the infeed conveyor and precisely positioned for insertion.
• Instruction insertion and folding: leaflets are folded (1–4 folds) by the leaflet feeder and inserted into the carton.
• Batch printing and closing: the machine prints batch/lot numbers, folds ears, inserts tongues and can apply hot melt glue if configured.
• Ejection and discharge: sealed cartons are discharged to conveyor for downstream labeling, case packing or shipping.
