Overview
The Merlin 62 is a powerful, versatile truck-mounted road sweeper designed for mounting on truck chassis in the 10-16 tonne GVW range. It provides an unrivalled payload in its class and is suitable for municipal and contractor environments. The machine is available with single-engine operation and an intuitive CANbus control system enabling precise and efficient sweeper control.

Hydrostatic system
The Scarab-designed hydrostatic gearbox is installed in the chassis driveline and allows sweeping components to be powered directly from the chassis engine. Joystick control provides forward and reverse with single-pedal control to reduce fatigue and simplify operation.

Suction performance
A 905.5mm stainless steel roof-mounted impellor is positioned to produce a short, efficient airflow path for high suction performance with reduced power consumption.

Sweeping capabilities
The Merlin 62 is available in single or optional dual sweep configuration. When suction nozzle, side brush and widesweep are in operation the machine can sweep up to 2365mm width; brushes can reach 3200mm span when dual sweeping.

Strong, robust hopper
The hopper is manufactured from corrosion- and abrasion-resistant 4003 stainless steel, shot blasted, primed with two-pack epoxy and finished with a hard-wearing topcoat. A hinged particulate screening swings down for cleaning access.

CANbus Control System
The CANbus system provides total, intuitive control with a clear display indicating sweeping configuration and vehicle condition, plus real-time monitoring and data-logging to assist troubleshooting and efficient operation.
