Description

Product overview
The module temperature sensor measures PV module backside temperature in °C using a PT1000 probe placed between the module backsheet and an EVA layer. A PT1000-to-Modbus transducer converts the sensor signal to Modbus RTU for integration with dataloggers and PLCs via RS485.

Working principle
This device is a temperature transmitter using a PT1000 sensing element. The PT1000 signal is converted to Modbus RTU and transmitted over RS485, enabling standardized digital monitoring of PV module rear-side temperature for performance analysis and control systems.

Installation
Install the sensor following IEC 61724-1:2021: place the probe at the centre of a cell near the module midpoint, avoiding cell boundaries. Ensure the mounting area is dry and clean; residual dew or contaminants can affect adhesion and measurement accuracy.
