Product OverviewModule temperature sensor measures the back of the solar panels temperature in degrees Celsius (°C) using a PT1000 probe. The probe for measuring back-of-module temperature is placed between two backsheet layers with an EVA sheet. A transducer converts the PT1000 signal to an analog 4-20 mA output. This model is compatible with dataloggers, gateways and PLCs featuring a 4-20 mA input.
Working PrincipleThe PV module temperature is detected by a high-precision PT1000 element and converted to an analog 4-20 mA signal via an electronic board housed in a UV-resistant, high-protection enclosure. The device functions as a temperature transmitter for monitoring the rear surface of PV modules.
Installation GuidanceInstall the sensor at the centre of a cell near the module midpoint, avoiding cell boundaries, in accordance with IEC 61724-1:2021. Position the probe at the centre of the rear face of the PV module, closest to the cell middle to prevent crossing cell boundaries. Ensure the adhesion area is dry and free from contaminants for accurate measurement; avoid fitting when dew or moisture is present.
