OverviewModule temperature sensor measures the back of the solar panels temperature in degrees Celsius (°C) by using a PT1000 probe. The probe is placed between two backsheet layers with an EVA sheet to measure the back of module temperature. A transducer converts the PT1000 signal to an analog 0-10 V output. This model is compatible with dataloggers, gateways, and PLCs that have a 0-10 V input port.
Working principleProfessional, intelligent measurement sensor designed to track the rear surface temperature of photovoltaic modules. A high-precision PT1000 sensor measures the PV module temperature and an electronic card housed in a UV-resistant protective enclosure converts it to an analog 0–10 V output.
InstallationIEC 61724-1:2021 states the module temperature sensor shall be placed at the center of a cell near the midpoint of the module, avoiding cell boundaries. The sensor should be placed closest to the center of the cell, on a dry and contaminant-free area. Note that dew or residues in winter may make attachment difficult.
