Description

Product Overview
The Ambient Temperature Sensor measures air temperature in °C using a PT1000 probe. It is compatible with the SEVEN Irradiance Sensor Box and supplied with a pre-mounted plastic radiation shield (four aspirated plates) that protects the probe from direct solar radiation while allowing free airflow. The sensor outputs ohmic resistance (PT1000) and connects via a 6‑pin IP67 connector.

Key Features
  • PT1000 probe for ambient air temperature measurement in °C.
  • UV-resistant radiation shield with four aspirated plates to minimise solar radiation effects.
  • Compatible with SEVEN Irradiance Sensor Box, SEVEN Sensor Box models and Compact Weather Station systems.
  • 6‑pin IP67 connector; output as PT1000 (ohmic resistance) for direct connection to dataloggers and monitoring devices.
  • Designed for PV plant environmental and industrial monitoring; compliant with IEC 60751:2022 (Class A) and IEC 61724-1:2021 Annex B.

Installation
Use the pre-mounted shield to fix the sensor on a flat surface or ground mount. Insert screws through the shield mounting holes to secure the unit. The shield and hole layout allow fast installation without special tools. Refer to the supplied user manual for wiring and setup steps.

Applications
The sensor is intended for PV performance monitoring and environmental data collection where ambient temperature affects air density, cooling and module/cell temperature. Suitable for utility-scale and industrial PV plants, meteorological stations and monitoring systems.

Why choose SEVEN Ambient Temperature Sensor?
  • Includes a radiation shield to reduce direct solar influence on readings.
  • Quick installation with pre-mounted shield and standard mounting holes.
  • Calibrated and manufactured to meet IEC 60751:2022 Class A and IEC 61724-1:2021 Annex B for traceable accuracy.
