Materials analysis software EDXIR

Overview
EDXIR-Analysis is qualitative analysis software designed to process data from energy dispersive X-ray (EDX) fluorescence spectrometers and Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectrometers. It performs integrated analysis combining FTIR strengths for organic identification with EDX strengths for elemental analysis of metals and inorganic compounds. The bundled Shimadzu library contains 485 reference entries developed with water supply agencies and food manufacturers. Users can add spectral entries, image files and PDF documents and link external instrument data for consolidated record keeping.

• Data comparisons for confirmation tests: Compute degree-of-matching between measured spectra and library entries to support confirmation testing and detect silent changes in materials or processes.
• Data browsing and management: Register, edit and delete spectral data, images and PDF documents; associate data from other instruments after PDF conversion for centralized storage.
