Description

Overview
The AIMsight infrared (IR) microscope is an automatic FT-IR analysis system designed to maximize automation and improve efficiency of microsample defect and contaminant analysis. It measures micro targets by irradiating samples with infrared radiation and recording reflectance and transmittance from sample molecules. User-friendly functions include a wide-field camera for easy measurement range setting, automatic target recognition, automatic measurement-position setting, and automatic analysis via the standard contaminant analysis program, enabling both new users and specialists to perform reliable analyses.

In addition to trace contaminant analysis and quality control for chemicals, electronics, machinery and transportation equipment, AIMsight is used in microplastics research and monitoring.

Detector and Cooling
Equipping AIMsight with the TEC MCT (Peltier cooled MCT) detector allows infrared spectra acquisition without liquid nitrogen. For higher sensitivity, users can switch in software to the T2SL detector; note that T2SL operation requires liquid nitrogen.
