SIAT pre-stretch systems feature an ergonomic, compact carriage design that enables safe reel loading and fast set-up. Available pre-stretch ratios range from 100% up to over 400%, delivering significant film savings and process optimization.

Key features
Viking DM™: carriage with two motors offering a wide pre-stretch range (100% to over 400%). Tension and pre-stretch are adjustable from the control panel, eliminating the need for gear kits. Recommended for mixed-pallet applications where film thickness must vary across pallet areas.

Viking PW™: motorized carriage with panel-adjustable tension; pre-stretch is set or modified via gear kits. Available pre-stretch range 100%–350% (in 25% steps) with 200% gear kit as standard. Recommended for applications requiring a fixed pre-stretch.

Both carriages require no threading: the film runs in front of the rollers with a spring roller system that ensures firm adhesion, reduces slippage and lowers film consumption. The design simplifies maintenance and operation.

Options
Two roping configurations are available:

A. Top roping (full roping, electrical): secures the load to the pallet with a narrow band; cycle ends with full band.

B. Bottom roping (partial roping, pneumatic): reduces film width to a band for added stability and film savings.
