IntroductionThe HONPINE S Series underwater collaborative robot is engineered for a wide range of subsea tasks, from flexible cooperative work to high-precision manipulation. The modular architecture scales from 2+1 to 6+1 DOF. Constructed in AL6061 hard-anodized aluminum alloy, all models are rated to ≤300 m waterproof depth. Underwater weight across the series ranges approximately 1.9–3.3 kg with nominal payloads up to 3 kg, enabling compact and stable deployment on ROVs and subsea platforms.

- Optimized underwater weight balance: reduced underwater mass (≈1.9–3.3 kg) to minimize load on carriers; S5 can provide effective underwater payload exceeding its dry weight.
- Integrated precision and force: gripper range 0–100 mm with model-dependent gripping forces (typically 250–300 N); S7 achieves ≤0.1 mm repeatability.
- Intelligent control and flexible deployment: position and speed control modes, ROS support on selected models, multiple mounting options including bottom flange and vertical/inverted for S7.
