Tecnopenta installs load cells of various sizes and shapes suitable for use in both construction sites and geotechnical laboratories. Application Example: Load Cells on Anchors An example application is the installation on ground anchors to monitor their tensile stress state. Load cells for anchors or bars with improved adhesion are used to monitor the stress behavior generated when such elements are applied to reinforce excavation fronts or rock walls. Installation and Function These forces are monitored by inserting a properly dimensioned load cell between the distribution plate and the locking device. The load cells are constructed using special stainless steel and equipped with a full strain gauge bridge. An internal thermal compensation system minimizes the influence of temperature on measurements. The electrical signals can be recorded using a D1-FlexLog multichannel datalogger and transmitted via GSM to a data acquisition and processing center, accessible via the internet.
