OverviewThe EA-10000 Series programmable DC power supplies bring a host of capabilities and efficiencies to your application. Active power factor correction minimizes waste drawn from your power grid. True autoranging allows the delivery of maximum power across a wider range of voltage and current values while a suite of optional control interfaces enables computer control in near any manufacturing environment. The EA PS and PSI programmable power supplies range in power from 1500 W devices up to 30 kW in a single chassis and feature 5" TFT Gorilla® Glass touchscreen displays for intuitive control and test setup. The power supplies can be paralleled for very high output power (up to multiple megawatts), at up to 2000 VDC. The PSI Series comes standard with a built-in function generator capable of creating arbitrary waveforms, included test routines for battery test, fuel cell simulation, PV solar array simulation with MPP tracking, and other enhanced capabilities over the PS Series.

Autoranging — descriptionEA products with autoranging allow the supply or load to operate at maximum power across a range of voltages and currents by automatically offering more current at lower voltages (or more voltage at lower currents). This enables one source to cover multiple voltage/current combinations that otherwise might require multiple supplies.
Built-in function generator (PSI Series) — descriptionThe integrated function generator can drive voltage or current outputs with typical AFG waveforms and arbitrary waveform capability with sequencing. It can simulate complex behaviors like solar cells with accurate VOC/ISC and MPP, test inverter efficiency to standards, and support automotive test standards (LV123, LV124, LV148).
Control and communicationsSupports AnyBus system for field-installable communication options for common industrial interfaces plus standard USB and Ethernet for computer control and integration in automated manufacturing/test environments.
Industrial SeriesThe EA-10000 Industrial Series is available for highest energy-density needs: 6U form factors offering up to 60 kW and 19" rack solutions delivering very high power density (e.g., hundreds of kW per small floor area) and the ability to combine multiple racks for multi-megawatt bidirectional power delivery and recovery. Available as unidirectional power supplies (PU), bidirectional power supplies (PUB), and regenerative electronic loads (PUL).
Optional water coolingWater cooling is available for 4U and 6U models to improve heat dissipation, reduce acoustic emissions and provide more stable operation in high ambient temperatures or dusty/harsh environments.
