Product overviewThe ISO7741 is a quad-channel digital isolator providing galvanic isolation between CMOS/LVCMOS I/Os. Channels use input and output buffers separated by a dual capacitive SiO2 insulation barrier. The family includes versions with basic and reinforced insulation ratings (EN/UL standards) and options for default output state (default high or suffix F = default low). Enable pins allow each output to be placed in high impedance for multi-controller designs and reduced power consumption.

Applications and usage notesUse ISO7741 to isolate digital interfaces and prevent noise or transient currents on data buses (RS-485, RS-232, CAN) from entering local ground. Typical applications: industrial communication interfaces, isolated data acquisition, motor drives, and systems requiring basic or reinforced isolation. For optimal performance, pair with an isolated power supply and follow layout recommendations in the datasheet to meet system EMC and safety requirements.
