The Light-load Tearing Tester measures the tear strength of a “single” specimen of a material with low tear strength, such as plastic film. Suitable for materials with low tearing strength that cannot be handled by the Elmendorf type tearing tester. Features – Simply set the pendulum in the starting position, start the machine, and it automatically measures the swing angle and calculates the “Tear Strength”. – When the measurement range is selected, the weight to be attached to the pendulum is indicated. – The friction of the bearing is compensated by measuring the swing angle of the pendulum. – Tear Strength” is displayed as a line graph. – Calculates the average, maximum, minimum, and standard deviation of the measurement data. – One calibration weight is included for each measurement range.
