Shunt reactor

The Thyristor Controlled Shunt Reactors (TCRs) from TRENCH are air core reactors that are widely utilized in static VAR systems, in which reactive VARs are modified by thyristor circuits. The refunding power is replaced by regulating the current over the reactor through the thyristor valves.
