Description

Overview
The TRUMPF TruBend Series 5000 is a family of press brakes for industrial bending applications. It covers multiple variants (5085–5320) and is designed for flexible production from programming and setup to automated bending.

Key features
  • 6‑axis CNC backgauge for maximum positioning freedom and complex geometries.
  • On‑Demand Servo Drive: energy-efficient, fast and quiet drive.
  • ACB angle measurement family (ACB Wireless, ACB Laser, ACB Speed) and ACB Smart material database for fast, accurate angle control.
  • ToolMaster automatic tool changer for reduced setup times and automated tooling sequences.
  • Thickness Controlled Bending (TCB) for automatic compensation of material thickness variations.
  • Touchpoint TruBend and MobileControl: intuitive, tablet-like control and reduced operator walking time.
  • Part Indicator (camera support), additional LED illumination and various bending aids for ergonomics and quality.

Applications
  • Bending thin and thick sheet parts with high angular accuracy.
  • Processing long profiles and complex geometries in straightline bending applications.
  • Flexible production: from small batches with rapid tool changes to automated large‑series production.

Technical data (selected variants)
  • Press force (models): TruBend 5085 = 850 kN; 5085 (S) = 850 kN; 5130 = 1300 kN; 5170 = 1700 kN; 5170 (S) = 1700 kN; 5230 = 2300 kN; 5230 (S) = 2300 kN; 5320 = 3200 kN.
  • Bending length (models): 5085 = 2210 mm; 5085 (S) = 2720 mm; 5130 = 3230 mm; 5170 = 3230 mm; 5170 (S) = 4250 mm; 5230 = 3230 mm; 5230 (S) = 4250 mm; 5320 = 4420 mm.
  • Width between columns (examples): 1750 mm — 3680 mm depending on model.
  • Usable open height (examples): 385 mm or 615 mm (varies by model/option).
  • Throat depth: 420 mm (all listed models).
  • Max. Y‑axis speed (option): up to 25 mm/s (all listed models).
  • Dimensions & weights (examples vary by model): lengths 3020–5180 mm; widths 1800–2055 mm; heights 2840–3200 mm; weights 8300–23400 kg.

Options and accessories
  • ACB Wireless / ACB Laser / ACB Speed; ACB Smart material database.
