Description

Overview
The TruBend Series 8000 is a large-format press brake for bending long, heavy and complex parts. Available in multiple tonnages and lengths, it supports floor-mounted, tandem and underfloor configurations to handle extended bending lengths and high press forces while keeping process accuracy and operator ergonomics.

Key benefits
  • Flexible configuration: numerous customization and automation options to adapt the machine to specific production needs.
  • Large-format capability: floor and tandem designs for high weights and long bending lengths.
  • High press forces: press force variants covering typical heavy-duty ranges (2,300–10,000 kN).
  • Material handling: large throat depth and support accessories simplify loading of big components.
  • Investment support: service and lifecycle packages available to secure long-term operation.

Precision and angle measurement
Angle accuracy is supported by systems such as ACB Laser, ACB Wireless (sensor discs in the upper tool), Operator Controlled Bending (OCB) and the TCB (Thickness Controlled Bending) software solution, reducing rework for thick or large workpieces.

Heavy-duty options
Heavy-duty options include bending aids, infinitely adjustable support brackets (loads up to 300 kg), reinforced backgauges and tandem/underfloor options to withstand high bending forces and enable ergonomic handling of heavy parts.

Operation, automation and software
Intuitive operation via the T-8000 S multi-touch control with MobileControl / MobileControl Pro options. Automation choices include robot solutions (Starmatik), storage links, centring stations, grippers, tool changers and regripping stations. Software options such as TruTops Boost and TecZone Bend speed up programming and NC generation.

Equipment highlights
  • ACB Wireless angle measurement (sensor discs integrated in the upper tool)
  • ACB Laser optical contactless angle measurement
  • Adjustable crowning with loadable range (adjustment step 250 mm)
  • Up to 6 CNC-controlled backgauge axes; heavy-duty backgauges with extended travel
  • Lower tool displacement for performing two bending operations with one tool
  • On-Demand Drive for energy savings and quieter operation
  • LED work area illumination and ToolShuttle tool magazine options

Applications / Use cases
  • Bending very large or heavy components (long formats, high tonnage)
  • Bending long, thin parts and deep nests
  • Station and tandem bending for combined lengths up to around 16 m
  • Heavy-duty bending with ergonomic aids and HD equipment

Technical specifications (examples)
  • Press force: 2,300–10,000 kN (variant-dependent)
  • Bending length: typical examples 3,230 mm / 4,420 mm / 6,120 mm / 7,050 mm / 8,050 mm
  • Width between columns (examples): 2,510 mm — 7,050 mm
  • Max. distance between press beam and table: up to 1,000 mm (some variants 820 mm)
  • Usable open height: typically 880 mm
  • Throat depth: typically 620 mm (some variants 420 mm)
  • User interface: T-8000 S multi-touch control
  • Maximum Y-axis speed (operation): typically 8–10 mm/s
  • Example dimensions (TruBend 8230): length ≈ 5,318 mm; width ≈ 2,830 mm; height ≈ 3,970 mm; weight ≈ 25,000 kg
