The new generation of Vitesco Technologies’ axle drive is a highly integrated electric drive system. It consists of a permanent-magnet synchronus machine, an inverter and a reducer. The axle drive is highly scalable, compact in size and has a low weight. The system allows a variety of different configurations, resulting in a power range from 80 – 230 kW and 1,700 – 4,000 Nm of torque The axle drive has been developed for high volume market electric vehicles (EVs).
