Product overviewThe CK45 Skived and Roller Burnished Tube is a high-precision steel tube engineered for hydraulic and pneumatic cylinder applications. Made from premium CK45 seamless steel, the tube undergoes skiving and roller burnishing to achieve a mirror-like internal surface, high dimensional accuracy and enhanced mechanical performance. With inner diameter tolerance H8 and inner surface roughness down to Ra ≤ 0.2 μm, the tube provides superior wear resistance, reliable sealing and extended service life. Ready for direct assembly in hydraulic cylinder barrels.

Manufacturing Process- Raw Material Selection
Start from high-grade CK45 seamless steel tubes inspected for chemical composition and mechanical properties. - Cold Drawing or Honing (if applicable)
Tubes may be cold drawn or honed to refine initial inner diameter and surface before skiving. - Skiving
A rotating cutting tool removes a small layer from the inner surface to produce a uniform, smooth internal surface and correct minor geometric deviations. - Roller Burnishing
Cold-working with hard rollers compresses the inner surface to produce a mirror-like finish, increased hardness and improved surface integrity. - Final Inspection and Surface Treatment
Tubes are cleaned, dried and coated with anti-rust oil or VCI film; each piece is checked for roughness, roundness, hardness, straightness and dimensional tolerances.
Advantages- Superior Inner Surface Finish
Roller burnishing reduces surface roughness to Ra ≤ 0.2 μm, minimizing friction and improving sealing performance. - Enhanced Dimensional Accuracy
Strict H8 tolerance for inner diameter allows direct use in hydraulic and pneumatic cylinder barrels without additional machining. - Improved Wear Resistance
Cold working increases surface hardness and fatigue resistance for demanding environments. - Reduced Maintenance and Downtime
High-quality finish and accurate tolerances reduce leaks and component failures. - Ready-to-Use
Tubes are supplied ready for assembly and typically require no further honing or finishing.
Common Applications- Hydraulic cylinders for heavy-duty machinery (excavators, bulldozers, loaders, cranes)
- Pneumatic cylinders for automation systems and industrial robots
- Agricultural equipment (tractors, harvesters, hydraulic lifting systems)
- Construction machinery (concrete pump trucks, pile drivers, lift platforms)
- Material handling systems (forklifts, lifting arms, hydraulic lifts)
- Mining equipment and other high-pressure hydraulic systems
Quality Control & TestingProduction and finished tubes undergo stringent checks including chemical composition analysis (spectrometers), ultrasonic testing (UT) for internal defects, surface roughness measurement with profilometers, inner diameter gauge checks for H8 tolerance, straightness checks with laser/digital tools and optional hydrostatic or salt spray testing. Production follows recognized standards such as DIN 2391, EN 10305 and ASTM A519 and the supplier operates under ISO 9001:2015 quality management.
