The CS-iTWM-05 is a battery-powered wireless monitor for manhole cover movement and water immersion detection. It detects tilt and abnormal movement of manhole covers and transmits alarm signals to a monitoring center via LoRaWAN, NB‑IoT or GPRS. Designed for internal mounting on the back of the manhole cover, it requires no wiring and supports configurable alarm thresholds and reporting intervals.

Overview
The sensor is mounted on the back or inside of the manhole cover and remains horizontal under normal conditions. An alarm is triggered when the cover tilts and the inclination exceeds the configured threshold (default 10°). Alarm signals are sent wirelessly to the monitoring center for analysis and response.

Working principle
The device measures the current inclination angle with an onboard acceleration sensor. It supports configurable periodic reporting intervals and an adjustable alarm angle threshold (default 10°). Under normal operation the device sends periodic status reports; when ABS(current angle − initial angle) > alarm threshold an alarm report is issued. The device also provides low-battery warnings and status reports according to configured timing.
