Description

Product Overview
TOPONE Grade 80 Stainless Steel Lifting Chain combines high load capacity and inherent corrosion resistance for demanding industrial lifting applications. The short-link, electrically welded chain is available in diameters 5–13 mm with single-leg WLL 0.80–5.30 t. Blasted stainless finish requires no paint or protective coating.

Introduction
Grade 80 stainless steel chain provides higher lifting capacity than Grade 60 chain of similar nominal dimensions, allowing for smaller-diameter choices to reduce sling weight and improve handling in confined spaces. Manufactured from selected high-strength stainless alloys, the chain resists corrosion without paint, galvanizing or plastic coatings. Typical applications include food processing, pharmaceutical production, chemical plants, wastewater facilities, clean manufacturing areas and marine environments. The chain can be supplied as cut lengths or assembled into single-, two-, three- or four-leg lifting slings with compatible Grade 80 stainless components.

Notes on WLL
The listed WLL values apply only to a straight, vertical, single-leg configuration under normal rated conditions. Do not multiply the single-leg WLL directly by the number of sling legs. Sling angle, load symmetry, temperature and environmental conditions affect permitted assembly capacity. The identification tag and certificate supplied with the finished sling take priority over general product tables.

Chain Sling Configurations
  • Single-leg chain slings
  • Two-leg chain slings
  • Three-leg chain slings
  • Four-leg chain slings
  • Endless chain slings
  • Adjustable chain slings with approved shortening devices

Standards
The chain geometry follows dimensional principles similar to DIN 5687 and EN 818-2. Completed Grade 80 chain sling assemblies may be manufactured and rated according to EN 818-4; compatible hooks and components should meet applicable parts of EN 1677. Product conformity must be supported by appropriate testing and certification as specified in the purchase order.

Testing and Traceability
Recommended verifications include material certificate checks, chemical and mechanical property tests, dimensional inspection, visual and weld quality inspection, proof-load and minimum breaking-force testing, elongation and fatigue testing where specified, grade marking and batch traceability. Minimum breaking force must be at least four times the stated WLL when using a 4:1 design factor. Finished slings must carry identification tags showing grade, diameter, number of legs, WLL, angle range, serial/traceability number and manufacturer information.
