The TG-540 is a full featured motion and I/O module that provides velocity and position trajectory commands to digital servo and stepper drives. It offers the benefits of scalability (one axis at a time), easy distribution, flexibility to select the optimal motor and I/O technology in any combination without software ramification, and ultra-smooth double-jerk-limited move profiles.
The TG-540 sends digital trajectories instead of analog torque commands to provide superior noise immunity and allow OEMs to capitalize on modern drive technology. The TG-540 is extensible per axis, so you won't waste money on unused axes or risk running out of axes if design requirements change. Each TG-540 has a DSP on each device, so performance will not degrade as the number of axes increase. And perhaps most importantly for OEMs who desire a broad range of options, the TG-540 does not require an interface protocol. It natively interfaces to virtually any digital drive or I/O device from any manufacturer, so OEMs are not limited by the availability of components with dedicated protocols.

ControlPoint offers OEM machine designers a wide array of control components to allow interconnectivity to nearly any digital or analog sensor, stepper, digital servo, brushless servomotor, and other machine control devices.

Addi-Data presents the new 32-bit digital input/output board PC104-PLUS1500 which has 32 I/O. The PC104-PLUS1500 is equipped with both PCI and ISA connectors on the circuit board. The direct connection to SPS controls is guaranteed because the I/O channels correspond to the industrial standard +24 V for “logic 1”. The input voltage is designed precisely so that the PC104-PLUS1500 switches reliably to „0“ or „1“, even in the case of disturbances. With 0-14 V as “low” and 19-30 V as “high” the ranges are set very high. In order to ensure that the board is interference-free and thus the flawless use in applications, the 32 digital inputs/outputs are isolated up to 1000 V and protected against fast transients, electrostatic discharge and high-frequency EMI.
Two digital inputs are interruptible and thus the main programs are relieved of the standard monitoring and evaluation tasks. In order to avoid undefined states the outputs stay on “status 0” when the PC is started.
The High-Side switch outputs that are available on the PC104-PLUS1500 are designed for inductive loads and PTC resistors, in contrast to the open collector outputs. They work with a nominal voltage of 24 V and an output current of 150 mA and are protected against short-circuit, overtemperature and undervoltage. Additionally, 3 timers or counters are available, whereas Timer1 can work as programmable watchdog for resetting the outputs. A status register that can be read out allows to detect short-circuit or overtemperature.

S100 I/O consists of one or more I/O racks with several I/O boards, connection units and cables covering a wide variety of applications and specific needs. The Advant Controller 410 includes an integral S100 I/O rack, while the Advant Controller 450 interfaces up to five S100 I/O sub-racks through a single or redundant interface module and cables. Optical modems enable remote location of S100 I/O sub-racks.

Banner introduced a new product line called SureCross Wireless I/O.
The DX70 is point to point architecture based on a pair of emitter/receiver. Digital or analogue I/Os are directly linked based on the internal terminal chamber identification. Unlimited pairs can work together in the same area without any interference.
The DX80 is a point to multipoint with up to 56 Nodes linked to one Gateway. The possible high number of I/Os can be transferred to supervision by communication with Modbus RTU (RS485), EtherNet/IP or Modbus TCP. Some Nodes can be powered by 24 Vdc, battery box or solar panel with rechargeable battery. Special DX99 Nodes come with ATEX certification Zone 0 for gas.
The DataRadio DX80DR2M is used mainly for serial (RS232 or RS485) cable replacement. This can be configured with one master and numerous slaves.

The TempTrackr™ Multipoint System provides a batteryless, non-invasive and low cost temperature measurement solution that is ideally suited for applications ranging from High Power Switches to Rotating Machine Components. The Starter Kit is designed to showcase the capabilities of the TempTrackr™ Multipoint System. Each Kit includes three batteryless wireless temperature sensors that are capable of reading temperatures between 0°C and 120°C. The three sensors provide the ability to monitor temperature at multiple points of interest. The Surface Acoustic Wave (SAW) resonator within each sensor is powered by bursts of electromagnetic radiation emitted by a wireless reader (also known as a wireless interrogation unit). A feedback signal, conditioned by the temperature to which the resonator is exposed, is then electromagnetically transmitted to the wireless reader where it is processed for temperature measurement. The TempTrackr™ Multipoint System is capable of tracking up to six sensors and can provide temperature data via the CAN communication protocol. The number of sensors can be extended to 12 by making use of multiple interrogation antennae. The Starter Kit is an ideal technology evaluation tool3.
