Chevin manufactures both static and live toolholders.
The new live toolholders design enables the maximum benefit to be obtained from the machine tool's speed, through coolant and the associated benefits of recent developments in cutting tool technology.
The fully sealed units operate at speeds up to 6,000rpm. Induction hardened gears and high quality bearings and seals ensure smooth and accurate operation with through tool coolant as an option. The new live toolholding complements Chevin Tools existing range of Mazak static toolholding.
Chevin Tools in-house design service allows special units to be developed specifically tailored to customers requirements. Past examples have included special angled heads, offset heads, slot milling and slitting wheel applications.

T-holder
TaeguTec has improved upon its own ISO compliant T-holder style clamping system to provide enhanced stability and clamping forces due to its improved mounting an clamping system design. TaeguTec has changed the shape of the clamp to prevent unexpected breakages and it has increased the shim size to stabilise insert mounting. These new measures provide exceptional tool life.
The T-holder will replace many kinds of conventional clamping holders, such as lever lock and multi lock clamping system. Many types of insert can be mounted upon the T-holder as opposed to using conventional holders.

Hydraulic clamping of tools gives perfect concentricity on the spindle.
ETP HYDRO-GRIP consists of two hardened steel sleeves with an intermediate layer of grease as a pressure medium. Depending on design the sleeves expand towards the spindle or towards the spindle and the tool. In this way the woodworking tool is centered. The drive from the spindle is transmitted through friction. The use of hydraulic pressurising, in conjunction with high precision in manufacturing, ensures extremely good runout and repeatability.
ETP HYDRO-GRIP solves the tool-centering problem.
With all mechanical clamping systems for woodworking tools, eccentricity between spindle and tools is rarely less than 0.04 mm. Such large eccentricity results in machining faults, poor surfaces and excessive/uneven tool wear – particularly at fast feed rates.
It becomes necessary to operate at lower feed rates than those for which machine and tools are intended. ETP HYDRO-GRIP solves the problem and at the same time boosts safety and profitability.

When the knives on the tool are cutting evenly the machine can be run faster without any deterioration in the surface finish.

Benz Hydraulic Tool Holder. Hydraulic tool holders provide a far more accurate and positive clamping solution for your tools as compared to the standard nut and collet type toolholders.They are often used with diamond tools when high quality finishes are necessary.These units are available with most spindle connections. Clamping capacity can be supplied in both metric and imperial sizes. Stock items (current inventory) are available as a single piece purchase. Special sizes require a 5 piece minimum order.

This is a new generation of vertical tool changer; - a mechanism that gives the complete tool changer motion cycle but contained within more compact dimensions. Both exchange time and rigidity are improved. VTC is currently manufactured for size 40 taper tools or size equivalents.
VTC is another result of continuous improvements of Colombo Filippetti products.
VTC is available in 60° or 90° rotation gripper arm parking: extraction stroke from 60 to 110 (mm), for ISO40 and HSK63 taper.
