Briney builds coolant through the face (CTF) holders. CTF
holders are sometimes referred to as DIN B holders. DIN
69871 Form B calls for metric retention knob threads and
an orientation notch. DIN 69871 also calls for a larger
safety diameter than CTF holders. CTF holders are used
primarily in Mori Seiki machining centers to accommodate
through the face coolant routing.

Briney Eccentric Bore Tooling, an innovative, proven end mill holder design dramatically reduces total indicator runout (TIR) typical of all end mill holders using a set screw or Weldon flat set screw. Improving the out-of-concentric condition of the tool holder bore from .0008” to .0002”, the Briney holders feature an eccentric bore, imparting .0003” eccentricity in the direction of the set screw.

Clamping rigidity
- Accurate cutting edge positioning
- Longer tool life
- Innovative and modern design
- "Glimpse of an eye" technology
The double clamping system provides secure clamping (pressing and pulling down of the insert) with only one action which contributes to the extention of the inserts’ tool life. Especially for interrupted cutting, the impact resistance of the insert has been drastically improved.
|
|
As the world progresses to miniaturization, and the parts to be machined are getting smaller and smaller, the machinist is forced to find specialty tools and expert solutions to meet this growing challenge.
Together with shrinking tolerances, the requirement for repeatability and indexability increase exponentially. Having the right tools is an absolute must.
Whether you have to thread, groove or bore, the Vargus MiniPro line provides you with those perfect tools to get the job done, perfectly.., the first time.
The Vargus MiniPro line was designed to provide an answer to nearly every machining operation performed on miniature, high-precision components. MiniPro includes a wide-range of both indexable and solid carbide solutions for threading, grooving or boring holes down to 2mm diameter in a wide range of materials.

The CU system is a mechanical cam-driven tool changer that combines an intermittent series of linear and rotary movements necessary to change the tool:
-cone gripping
-extraction (from the tool pocket and from the spindle)
-changeover
-insertion (in the tool pocket and in the spindle)
-release
A mechanical tool safety lock on the gripper holder arm makes sure the tools are transferred safely during the changeover phase.
|
|
The "CUT" series TOOLCHANGERS are mechanical cam units that transform a uniform rotary motion of the input shaft into a composite motion of the output shaft. The synchronised combination of rotational and linear movements performed by the output shaft produces the cycle that carries out the transportation of the tool in the spindle and places it into a tool storage device.
Currently manufactured in three frame sizes: CUT31, CUT41, CUT51 tools with 30, 40, 50 and HSK taper. The toolchange gripper arm is has an automatic lock for the tools during motion. Exhange arms are available for various tool exchange center distances from 400 to 850 (mm) and made for most tool systems.

Improved chip control and extended tool life are two key benefits of Sandvik Coromant’s new CoroTurn HP high pressure coolant system. This new system is a unique combination of Coromant Capto and CoroTurn HP (high pressure) design that harnesses the machining possibilities afforded by high pressure coolants which lead to increased productivity or as much as 50% increased tool life in some materials.
The Coromant Capto coupling channels the coolant through the turret or spindle and accurately positions it on the spot that most needs it (not possible using shank tool holders). This new system can be used in any machine equipped with high pressure coolant and Capto coupling, including multi-task machines, vertical turning lathes (VTL) and turning centres.
CoroTurn HP penetrates the heat affected zone via a high pressure coolant jet delivered through small nozzles to cool the insert faster, more effectively and allow optimal chip control. The jet creates a hydraulic wedge between the top surface of the insert and the underside of the chip being removed from the component or material, helping to reduce insert wear and break the chip into smaller pieces for quicker evacuation from the cutting edge. The nozzles, mounted closer to the insert cutting edge, help increase the velocity of the coolant jet at lower pressures and keep the insert freely accessible for easy indexing.

Hi-Jet Holders minimize overheating and distortion of work pieces and allow cutting tools to provide faster metal removal by flushing chips out of the holes. With reduced heat generation, tool life is greatly extended. Coolant with pressure up to 284 p.s.i. can be induced without being run through expensive machine spindles.
Hi-Jet Holders meet increasing demands for high-speed operations. Compact design and 360° adjustability assures compatibility with ATC on machining centers. A wide variety of styles cover coolant-through cutting tools from 0.59" to 2" and Morse Taper sizes.
Standard Coolant Feed Holder designs allow poorly filtered coolant to limit their life span. The SPLIT HOUSING design of the HI-JET HOLDER greatly extends the life of the toolholder by separating the bearing and coolant supply sections. This eliminates premature bearing failure and body wear.
