Honeywell linear and rotary potentiometers measure linear, rotary position or displacement. Use a tried and true potentiometric technology originally developed for military applications and more recently applied to industrial markets. The proprietary MystR® conductive plastic has extensive temperature range, infinite resolution and provides absolute position measurement on power-up. Intermediate signal conditioning is not required for normal ratiometric position sensing. Very small stroke units (5 mm [0.2 in]), and units required to withstand exposure to harsh chemicals, function immersed in different oils or water, are available.
Best Used For:
Applications requiring sensing response to the movement or location of a target, such as a molding press slide or a pulley shaft.

The Columbia DDCP Series transducers are completely self-contained displacement measurement systems that operate from a low voltage DC power supply or battery. They permit highly accurate readout and recording of an output signal directly without auxiliary signal conditioning electronics. These sensors combine a unique linear differential transformer sensing system with a miniature solid-state oscillator / demodulator and amplifier in a compact design. The precisely calibrated scale factor provides an accurate, low impedance voltage output which is directly proportional to the linear movement of the shaft assembly relative to the transducer body.

Position Sensor - DC-EC Series
Description: The DC–EC AccuSens™ Series incorporates a unique monolithic chip combined with a computer-designed AC LVDT to achieve premium performance. The ratiometric design of the monolithic circuitry compensates for power supply deviations for continuously stable operation. Unaffected by input variations, the transducer provides highly accurate, repeatable measurement. Innovative manufacturing techniques further enhance the AccuSens operation and cost efficiency. Micro-miniature components used in the construction of each unit are selected for maximum stability. Vacuum encapsulation of all elements produces an assembly tolerant to shock, vibration and other forms of physical abuse. Double magnetic shielding protects against stray electrical fields.
