From its compactness, this detector can be installed on your very narrow machines, tanks, pipings and places. It functions in all the positions, even under the difficult conditions as in the presence of turbulences, bubbles of air, foams or change of product.
Its principle of operation makes it possible to detect all the liquids starting from a density of 0,5 g/cm3 and until viscosities of 10.000 mm2/dry.
It is available in multiple alternatives such as for example: exit relay, transistor, electronic relay or NAMUR. The power supply is of 20 - 250 VAC/VDC, 20 - 72 VDC or 10 - 55 VDC.

Thermatel® has demonstrated reliable performance as a flow or level switch. For use as a flow switch, Thermatel can be used to detect either a high flow or a low flow condition for both gases and liquids. For a level switch, Thermatel can be used to detect difference in thermal conductivity of various media. This includes interface detection between media such as liquid/foam, oil/water and even liquid/solid.
Thermatel probes are available in 316L Stainless Steel, Hastelloy C, or Monel with all welded construction. The technology has no moving parts providing excellent reliability.

The CF12 is an AC or DC powered thermal flow switch designed to monitor flow status of liquids and gas and can also be used to detect level. A chain of 8 LED's helps the user adjust the set point by giving a visual indication of the flow rate. In addition, there is a di-chromatic LED, which shows the switch point status of the unit. The sensing element and process connection of the CF12 are made with 316 S.S. and can be Teflon coated when necessary. The enclosure is glass filled nylon but is also available in aluminum for explosion proof applications.
FEATURES
*Simple to install & low in cost
*No moving parts-maintenance free reliability
*Optimal temperature compensation
*Can operate in temperatures up to 248ºF (120ºC)
*Has a maximum working pressure of 4350PSI (300 bar).
*Chain of 8 LED's-Integrated flow rate/set point indication
*Fast response time for flow or level
*Excellent low flow sensitivity
*Can be coated for aggressive mediums

The Thermal Flow Switch Monitor is based on the principle of thermal dispersion. A typical configuration uses two Temperature Detectors set within the tip of the sensor. One Temperature Detector is heated a few degrees above the other one. As the process medium flows over the tip of the sensor it disperses some of the heat from the heated Temperature Detector. The delta temperature is a function of flow velocity and converted into electronic signal. The open collector changes state once the set point has been reached.

Thermatel® Model TA2 Thermal Mass Flow Transmitter provides reliable mass measurement for air and gas flow applications. The powerful, yet easy to use, electronics are contained in a compact explosion proof enclosure. The TA2 offers excellent performance at exceptional value.
Probes can be provided with a variety of process connections, including threads, flanges, or installation through a compression fitting. The sensor will fit pipe sizes of 1 1/2" diameter or larger (2" minimum size with thread connection).
The sensor is protected to prevent damage due to “bottoming-out” if inserted too far into a pipe. When using an insertion probe with compression fitting, the user can adjust the position of the sensor in the pipe to obtain the optimum location. Typically, this will be with the bottom of the probe 1.0 inch (25 mm) lower than the center line of the pipe.

Controls turbine flowmeters
Of all the various types of flow transducers available to industry today. None are so universally applicable as turbine flowmeters. They continue to be the most common way to measure flow electronically and have the ability to measure available upon request offering detailed, technical information. |

...disturbance insensitive and long-lived!
The turbine flow sensors of the product line Turbotron are sensors for flow rate measurement or dosing applications for liquids. Through its especially compact type, its very wide measuring range and its convincing precision of measurement, it has an almost unlimited application.
Function
The liquid flowing into the Turbotron is divided by the guiding blades in four split beams. These hit the rotor from four directions and put it in motion. The uniform loading of bearing from four sides causes the forces to cancel themselves out for the most part and wear is reduced to a minimum.
The extremely hard bearing materials, sapphire and hard metal, ensure in addition an extraordinary life expectancy.
The rotor rotation rate is now converted into an electrical pulse signal (frequency):
VTH and VTP are equipped with rotors which are fitted with magnets. A Hall effect sensor recognizes the rotation of the rotor.
VTI has stainless steel pins in the rotor. An inductive proximity switch detects the rotor rotation.
In both cases, a flow-proportional frequency signal (square wave signal) is available. |
