The New YEG150 and YEG200 satisfy EPA Tier 2. They feature even better flow mixing in the main chamber and the special mouth around the injector, plus efficient use of incoming air for cleaner burning and low emissions. The New YEG300 / 400 / 500 give the air and fuel charging more fluid energy. The swirl continues during combustion for even better mixing and lower emissions.The New YEG series is kind to the environment. Beside low noise and emissions, it contains no asbestos, mercury, polybrominated biphenyl, polybrominated biphenyl ether or cadmium. The use of safe materials was a core theme from the word go.
An AVR (Automatic Voltage Regulator) gives low-fluctuation power delivery at a selection of voltages from 110V to 240V. Each model also makes available 12V D.C.-really useful for charging car/boat batteries. (excluding 3-phase models)
A single tankful of diesel will keep these air-cooled gensets on the go for 6~15 hours. The secret to such long operation is their low fuel consumption from features like direct injection ?a major feat for this type of compact engine. The generator set is designed for standby, prime and load management applications, offering the latest in engine design technology to provide emissions compliance without sacrificing power density or fuel economy.
An ADEM™ A4 controller, MEUI fuel system and cross-flow cylinder head comprise the building blocks of ACERT Technology. The generator set offers an Air-To-Air After Cooler (ATAAC) cooling system, an advanced EMCP 3 control system, multiple control panel and power connection location options, and enhanced package-mounted circuit breaker options.
The self-excited, random-wound generator provides a Class H insulation system. It features IP23 protection, a R448 voltage regulator with load adjustment, and 2/3 pitch stator winding. The single-bearing compact design is close-coupled to the engine, offering a smaller footprint and a wider scope of installation options.

Caterpillar Inc. introduces the new C1.5 diesel-fueled generator set. Rated at 12 kW (15 kVA) prime and 13 kW (16.2 kVA) standby, this generator set offers superior performance and fuel economy.
The C1.5 package features a mechanical governor with an electronic governor option, Class H insulation system and an EMCP 3.1 digital controller. The circuit breaker is UL/CSA listed, with a NEMA 1 vibration isolated steel enclosure. The automatic voltage regulator provides fast recovery from transient load changes. The generator set package is skid mounted, with a heavy-duty fabricated steel base offering Zone 4 seismic vibration isolators and the base is raised for convenient forklift access. A Level 2 Silencer is standard on the C1.5 open generator set with a 10 dB(A) reduction. The optional enclosure offers sound attenuation, single point lift and a panel-viewing window.
