Our solar laminate AKASOL® is a combination of TEDLAR® PVF films and other polymer films. Because of the outstanding mechanical, electrical and chemical properties as well as the extraordinary resistance to weathering, our solar laminated films ensure effective protection for the sensitive photovoltaic modules throughout the long service life.
AKASOL® laminated films are manufactured in to give a variety of designs from polymer film and/or TEDLAR® films. The most common material for the inner layers is PET film with a thickness of 75 µm, and the outer layer is usually a PVF film 38 µm in thickness. Alternatively a 25 µm PVF film can be used as the outer film. PET films are dimensionally stable, moisture-resistant and are characterised by their outstanding electrical insulation properties whereas PVF films assure dependable protection from UV radiation.
In the case of transparent photovoltaic laminated films, particular attention is paid to good light transmission. It is for this reason that we also supply combinations with ETFE films for extremely high transparency. As these laminates have to be particularly thin, PET film with exceptional stability to moisture is used here.

The SEM 160 S modules are manufactured with 72 monocrystalline silicon cells measuring 125 x 125 mm, vacuum encapsulated at high temperature between two EVA (Ethylene/Vinyl/Acetate) sheets, externally protected by an extremely transparent temperate glass and a Tedlar sheet and inserted in a strong anodised aluminium frame. The S.E. Project™ production process guarantees maximum protection for the photovoltaic cells, even when they are subject to the worst working and climatic conditions. Thanks to their reliability and excellent performance, the SEM 160 S modules are suitable for both grid connected and stand-alone installations. The photovoltaic modules are produced in the S.E. Project™ factory, which is ISO 9001/00 standards certified. The modules are equipped with MC-type 100-cm long quick-coupling cables.

Special glass
There is used special solar in our modules which is tempered and has low iron content also. Using the unique technology in production of this glass is reached for maximal transmisivity of solar irradiation.
