Thermal protection
Automatic recovery
Overload protection
Dual output: Two relays in one package
Description
The LPD70 is a dual-output 28Vdc plastic relay with internal thermal protection. The relay utilizes optical isolation to provide excellent input-to-output isolation. The LPD70 offers a current limiting output to protect itself and associated load circuits from transient current overloads. During an overcurrent condition, the LPD70 clamps the current to a safe operating value. The LPD70 also offers thermal protection. The thermal protection is activated by junction temperature. In case of an overload or shorted load condition, the thermal protection limits the junction temperature. The LPD70 returns to normal operation automatically once the overload is removed.

A Reed relay consist of a reed switch and coil fitting into a housing which could be plastic, metal or moulded.
Reed relays generally have a faster response time than electro-mechanical relays, lower coil consumption and
are smaller in size. Furthermore, the switch is sealed in a dry inert atmosphere preventing the ingress of contaminants.

Designed with attention to every detail, IDEC Relays go the extra mile in performance and dependability. RU relays are constructed with no internal wiring in a 100% automated, robotic-assembly process, which for you means no weak solder points. Our RH relays are built-to-last and 3rd party tested at 500,000 operating cycles, even though UL approval only requires an electrical lifespan of 6,000 cycles. And the newest addition to our relay family is no exception. RJ relays have an optional green, non-polarized LED that uses a unique light guide to give you a brighter and more noticeable status indicator, viewable from multiple directions
