Typical Applications
compressors with full or low lubrication
rotary gas pumps
expansion machinery
liquid gas and vacuum pumps
wobble piston compressors
rotary compressors for loading and unloading silos |

Mechanical seals manufactured in a wide range of general services, made according to standard UNI EN 12756 (ex DIN 24960).
Using a conical spring is wound onto the shaft allows the seal to compensate greater positioning errors than usual and there is no risk of clogging when it is in contact with very dirty and/or viscous liquids.
This type of seal is available for both clockwise or anticlockwise shaft rotation. |
|
Mechanical seals of the TB03 series are a cost effective type of a balanced seal. The design features are single seal, balanced, conical spring, dependent on direction of rotation. The dimensions are according to DIN 24960 standard . The TB03 series are equivalent to Burgmann type H12N series pump seals.
They have the same robust and reliable construction as the unbalanced spring seals . These seals are primarily used in the chemical sector and in water pumps.
Performance Capabilities
d = 10 - 80 mm
p = 25 bar
t = -50 – 200 °C
vg = 15 m/s |
|
The TB02 series mechanical seals are very popular. The design features are single seal, unbalanced, conical spring, dependent on direction of rotation. The dimensions are according to DIN 24960 standard . The TB02 series are equivalent to Burgmann type M3 series . Extremely rugged and reliable, they cover a wide spectrum of applications – in water pumps, sewage pumps, submerged pumps, chemical pumps, etc.
Performance Capabilities
d = 10 - 80 mm
p = 10 bar
t = -40 - 205 °C
vg = 10 m/s |

Chesterton’s 442M Split Mechanical Seal
External springs are non-clogging and act as a wear gauge.
Double captured gland and holder gaskets resist extrusion.
Narrow face rotates to minimize wiping effect.
Patented centering buttons provide automatic centering and are FDA approved for sanitary conditions.
Captive shaft O-ring makes installation simple.
Dual flush ports allow piping from either side.
Designed specifically with high-runout equipment in mind
Split design allows quick, economical installation without equipment disassembly.
Economical repair kits allow the seal to be field refurbished
442M split mixer seal is specifically designed to reliably perform in services which routinely exhibit large amounts of radial shaft runout.
Large internal clearances allow radial shaft movement without damaging seal components.
Patented Automatic Centering Maximum radial runout performance demands perfect centering.
Unique centering "buttons" positively center the gland about the rotating element. This ensures maximum radial travel in all directions. Face "Wiping" is minimized in rotating narrow face designs, if the equipment shaft is not concentric to the stuffing box bore, particles are prevented from being transported across seal face wear track due to the wiping action created. The lapped seal faces are nprotected from damage. |

Stuffing Box Packings (Gland Packings) are machine-braided cords of different materials, used for sealing rotating shafts in pumps, ventilators and fittings. Packing sections are laid round the shaft in circles and then compressed with the gland. For dynamic applications, the compression must be so adjusted that a certain minor amount of leakage between packing and shaft may emerge. Harmful dry running is prevented thus and the leakage is dissipated or returned. Various materials and material combinations are used according to the individual case of application. Special lubricants are incorporated into the braiding to improve running properties.

9000 EVSP Simplified™
Excellent sealing
* Patented "cup & cone" design permits selective component compression and controlled radial flow for effective sealing on I.D. and O.D.
* End rings act as wiper rings to restrict graphite particle transfer, prevent extrusion and provide extra resiliency
Custom design capability
* Patented cup & cone design can provide sealability in valves as shallow as three-ring cross sections
* For deep stuffing boxes requiring more than a 7-ring set, machined / split carbon bushings can shorten the box depth
Grade 250 (Style #4525) for general services
Grade 580 (Style #4540) for nuclear services
* Choice of end rings: Style 98 (general service) or Styles G-700 or 1398 (nuclear service) |
