Miniature Precision Ball Bearings
Ball bearings are machined components that include an outer ring, inner ring, balls, retainers, shields and snap rings. NMB's miniature ball bearings are available in inch and metric sizes, open or shielded and flanged or unflanged. For extreme noise sensitive applications, superior hardness and corrosion resistance our ball bearings are manufactured with DD400™ stainless steel material. Chrome steel is availablle for applications in uses and environments where corrosion resistance is not a critical factor.

The xiros® polymer ball bearings are single-row grooved ball bearings based on DIN 625. The lubricant-free and maintenance-free ball bearing consists of four components.
- The outer ring
- The inner ring
- The cage
- And the balls
The inner and outer rings are made of igus® tribopolymers to maximize service life and minimize coefficients of friction. In contrast to metallic ball bearings, xiros® polymer ball bearings manage absolutely without lubrication. For this reason they are suited for a multitude of applications that depend not on extreme rotary speeds or loads, but just on lubricant-free application in contrast to permanently lubricated metallic ball bearings. These areas are for example food and medical industries, packaging and textile industries, or the chemical industry and cleanroom applications as well as electronics and office technology.

Deep groove ball bearings are versatile, self-retaining bearings with solid outer rings, inner rings and ball and cage assemblies. These products are of simple design, durable in operation and easy to maintain; they are available in single and double row designs and and in open and sealed variants. Due to the production technology used, open bearings can still have turned recesses on the outer ring for seals or shields.
|
|
By virtue of its internal geometry, the self-aligning ball bearing is capable of accommodating small angular misalignments between the shaft and housing. This is achieved by using two rows of balls that run in parallel inner ring raceways and a full width, spherical outer ring raceway.
Caution must be exercised when thrust loads have to be accommodated as these bearings have very little axial load carrying capacity.
A tapered bore for mounting using an adapter sleeve is common and, as such, these bearings can be used in place of spherical roller bearings in plummer block applications.
NSK can supply a range of self-aligning ball bearings in metric and inch sizes from 5mm to 130mm bore.

Self-aligning ball bearings
With double ball rows and a spherical raceway in the outer ring, self-aligning ball bearings can compensate for installation errors or shaft misalignment.
The SNR double-row self-aligning ball bearings are useful for applications requiring high rotating speeds while exercising moderate radial, and moderate or low axial loading.
SNR proposes an extensive range of self-aligning ball bearings, available with or without seals. Certain Series are fitted with an increased width inner ring (11200, 11300 Series) for easier fitting on shaft.
Technical data:
• Common dimension bearings are fitted with a metallic or synthetic cage (maximum continuous operating temperature = 120°C). Large size bearings are equipped with steel sheet or machined brass cages.
• 2200 and 2300 Series bearings can receive seals.
• Clearance : normal, increased (C3).
Application examples : Long-shaped and flexible shafts, standard industrial applications, chemistry, agriculture…

|
Self-aligning ball bearings are double row, self-retaining units comprising solid outer rings with a concave raceway, inner rings with a cylindrical or tapered bore and ball and cage assemblies. The bearings are available in open and sealed versions.
|
|
Radial insert ball bearings are single row, rady-to-fit units comprising a solid outer ring, an inner ring extended on one or both sides, cages made from plastic or sheet steel and P, R, L or T seals. Bearings with an inner ring extended on both sides undergo less tilting of the inner ring and therefore run more smoothly.
The outer ring has a crowned or cylindrical outside surface. In conjunction with an INA housing matched to the bearing type, bearings with a crowned outside surface compensate for shaft misalignments; see Compensation of misalignments.
They are located on the shaft by means of an eccentric locking collar, grub screws in the inner ring, an adapter sleeve, drive slot or fit. Radial insert ball bearings are particularly easy to fit, suitable for drawn shafts of grade h6 to h9 and, with a few exceptions, can be relubricated.
|
|
|
The self-aligning ball bearing has two rows of balls and a common concave sphered raceway in the outer ring. The bearing is consequently self-aligning and insensitive to angular misalignmengts of the shaft relative to the housing. It is particular suitable for applications where considerable shaft deflections or misalignment are to be expected.additionally, the self-aligning ball bearing has the lowest friction of all rolling bearings, which enables it to run cooler even at high speeds.
|
|
Self aligning ball bearings are non separable double-row radial bearings:
- Excellent alignment compensation due to the spherical outer ring raceway
- Suitable for low to medium radial loads and low thrust loads
- Available in open and sealed versions, as well as in tapered bore (suffix K)
- Standards: DIN 616, DIN 630
- Series: 1200, 1300, 2200, 2300, 11200, 11300
- Application examples: agricultural machinery, chemistry, pumps, etc.

This type is constructed with the inner ring and ball assembly contained within an outer ring which has a spherical raceway. Due to the construction, this bearing type will tolerate a small angular misalignment from deflection or mounting error. Self-aligning ball bearings are suitable for long shafts where accurate positioning of housing bores is difficult. This type is often used in conjunction with pillow blocks. Cages are made from pressed steel or polyamide resin. This bearing should only be used in light axial load applications due to the small axial support of the rolling elements by the outer ring raceway.
|
|
Angular contact ball bearings with single row, double row, matched sets.
To stand axial and radial loads, the range will include different contact angles (12 to 60 degrees), high accuracy for machine tool spindle applications, large size for heavy industries and wheel special bearings also.
|
|
The SNR single-row radial contact ball bearing range is suitable for the most diversified applications. Designed essentially to sustain moderate radial loads, these bearings, which are the most commonly used, also sustain moderate axial loads in all directions. They are particularly suitable for applications with high rotating speeds and when energy loss limitation is sought.
Technical data:
• Standard steel sheet, or solid cages, or polyamide cages (with 25% glass fibre fill)
• Nitrile Seal or baffle
• Normal or increased clearance (C3). Other clearance categories are available on request.
|
|
The raceways of both the inner and outer rings of this bearing type are made with a set contact angle.
Single-row Angular Contact ball bearings can sustain radial, axial or composite loads, however, any axial load must be in one direction.
Larger contact angle type has better axial load capability.
Small contact angle type has higher permissible speed capability.
This bearing type is generally used in adjacent positions.

Our Antifriction Bearings comprise four race rings, balls, a ball cage and, on request, an enclosed construction.
Franke Antifriction Bearings are based on a patented principle: the four race rings fit their raceway thanks to a specially developed grinding procedure – exactly adjusted to the ball diameter. Therefore, the rolling process does not occur directly between the rolling elements and enclosed construction, but rather smoothly on the four open race rings.
This special construction principle produces an extremely compact bearing, which also suits very small spaces. Another plus: the low friction and high load capacity of our Antifriction Bearings reduce energy consumption.

We manufacture all kinds of slewing bearings ranging from diameter 400 to 6,000mm. Internal gears, external gears and non-gears are available.
-Four Point Contact Ball Slewing Rings
-Crossed Roller Slewing Rings
-Double-Row Ball Slewing Rings

INA slewing rings are known worldwide as premium products in the field of rolling bearing technology. These machine elements have proved themselves many times over, have high load carrying capacity, a versatile range of applications and are highly cost-effective. Due to their design, a single bearing can reliably support radial, axial and tilting moment loads. It is therefore possible in many cases to replace bearing arrangements comprising a combination of radial and axial bearings by a single bearing. This reduces, in some cases considerably, the costs and work required in the design of the adjacent construction and the fitting of bearings.
Slewing rings are sealed on both sides, lubricated with a high quality grease, can be relubricated via lubrication nipples and are particularly easy to fit. The bearing rings are supplied without gear teeth or, in order to achieve simple drive solutions, are available with external or internal gear teeth.

RSM specialize in the manufacture of medium to large size slewing rings with a minimum 200mm bore up to 8,000 mm diameter as monobloc systems and segmental bearings up to 10,000 mm in diameter. We manufacture a full range of slewing bearings that cater for a variety of industrial, mining & materials handling applications.
RSM collaborates with a French company by the name of ATHOS in the production of all our slewing rings and while ATHOS is a relatively young company it certainly comes with a lot of experience and superfluous credentials. ATHOS is run by Pierre Bonhomme, a man that has been in the slewing bearing business since 1974. In his 35 years of experience he has run both ROLLIX DEFONTAINE & BRB TECHNOLOGIES.
ATHOS was pivotal in the successful selection of our manufacturing plant and oversees all technical aspects of production and quality control. RSM has worked and continues to work closely with ATHOS on all of the above aspects but our primary role is to deal with the commercial complexities of running the business including marketing our bearings and dealing with existing and prospective clients on a day to day basis. Together with ATHOS, RSM is able to ensure our clients receive professional service and a first class product at very competitive prices.
We have found a niche in supplying clients with bearings that are currently being offered with unmanageable lead times or at overinflated prices by your top brands, you will find RSM is a more than suitable replacement for your premium brand bearings such as Rothe Erde; Rollix; IMO; SKF; FAG; TIMKEN; NSK etc...
