• Centre drill, drill tap, chamfer.
This simple sequence of operations is used
thousands of times a day on turret mills around
the world. Simple though it may be, it requires 3
toolchanges, often taking longer than the actual
cutting times. Easychange will enable this wasted
time to be reduced to a fraction of that required
with conventional equipment.
Easychange is simple, accurate and robust, and
has the added advantage of allowing tools to be
pre-set to length, thus increasing productivity on
repeat operations. The short overhang of Easy-
change means no significant loss of capacity or
performance. Tool changes are executed by hand,
(often changes can be accomplished one handed)
and no spanner or key is required, as Easychange
locks fully automatically the moment the
toolholder is loaded.
The release action is such, that very little clearance
is needed between the tool and the workpiece
when changing tools. This greatly reduces the
amount of time spent winding the table clear, or
retracting the quill.
Easychange requires no special installation, it
simply fits into the machine spindle using the
existing drawbar, and as it can be left in situ and
used for almost any milling or drilling task, it
protects the machine spindle from the wear and
tear associated with constant toolchanging. |

Magnetic die clamping for stamping presses.
Quad Stamp is easy to install: using bolts to mount magnetic plates to existing T-slots or tapped holes.
Its modularity allows adaptability for any need.
No modifications to the press are required. Quad Stamp is made to
fit your press.
The new reduced thickness of the modules allows to save daylight.
Bigger dies can be used in smaller presses.
One operator, with no tools, can operate all the die-clamping
easily and in total safety, while staying outside the press.
Load the die, close the press and press the button for the upper, then the lower. |

The new permanent electro magnetic system HotMag is the final answer to all the needs to make quick change operations on press machines working with high temperature moulds.
The innovative magnetic circuit, made of special solenoids and high energy permanent magnets, allows to
operate with temperature up to 250° C. (482 ‘F).
The full metallic surface allows the perfect stability and uniformity of clamping all over the contact area
granting high performances in the long run.
Quick: Few seconds only to activate and deactivate the system. Simply pushing a button!
Ergonomic: The operator that can remain always at a distance from the mould. No risk!
Easy and practical: No modification to the machine, no modification to the moulds and no special tools are required.
Time saving: The mould can be preheated outside the machine with a great advantages!
Safe: Only the high strength generated by the permanent magnets will hold the mould at indefinite period of time.
Convenient: The low investment and the high efficiency grants a quick pay back. |

Quad-Press: A magnetically clamped mold is subject to neither deformations nor to inner tensions.
The force is distributed uniformly throughout the contact area, instead of only being applied on the external edges of the base-plate, as it happens when traditional clamping methods are used.
The quality of the molded part is constant in time.
Each 80HC square pole generates a constant, predictable and concentrated force of 1000 kg.
This force improves the performances to an unbeatable level, giving a greater available force in a smaller contact area.
Lead time is strongly reduced; now the SMED production is a reality.
Moulds of any size, even bigger than the machine plates are easily clamped with no modification.
Quad-Press is maintenance free, due to it doesn't present any mechanical component inside.
The new IPC system is available on request with the touch-screen device.
IPC follows step-by-step the machine operator during mold change procedure and give in real-time the actual clamping force generated on the mold.

The HTC (Horizontal Tool Changers) devices are mechanical, machine-independent tool change assemblies which, by means of a cam drive, transform an incoming uniform rotary motion supplied by a gearmotor into a regular series of stop-and-go linear and rotary movements of the output shaft onto which the arm of the tool gripper is fixed. The synchronous combination of movements performed by the gripper arm provides the typical tool change cycle which is a characteristic feature of this device.
Currently manufactured in three frame sizes: HTC140-40-50 for tools with ISO 30, 40, 50 and HSK 63-80-100 taper. The toolchange gripper arm has an automatic lock for the tools during motion. Exhange arms are available for various tool exchange center distances from 470 to 580 [mm] and made for tool from 10 to 25 [KG] weight. |
|
| AGI EOAT tool-changers are accurate, highly rigid, and have multiple pneumatic ports and optional electrical contacts ideal for end of arm tooling. The pneumatic actuators tool changer system offers a full line of robotic tool-changers designed to minimize assembly line change outs and down time. |

In most machining centres with horizontal spindle axis, it is normal for the tool-magazine to be in a protected area of the machine. This area is generally separated from the working area by means of a bulkhead in which there is a door opening. Only when exchange of tools is made, is the door opened and closed.
For the fastest tool exchange time, the door movement in the bulkhead must be synchronised with the movement of the tools exchanger. HTC is equipped with an extra output shaft that is used for rapid opening and closing of the door in perfect synchronisation with the tools exchange motions.
This evolution of the HTC40 mechanism is known as HTC 40T. |

MTE 40 TOOL CHANGER WITH SYNCHRONIZED MOVABLE PROTECTION
The MTE 40 tool changer has been expressly designed for high productivity horizontal and vertical work centers. It is composed of:
- Support for the HTC 40T tool changer complete with BP 41 gripper arm and synchronized movable bulkhead opening system activated by a single self-braking motor or a brushless motor.
- Ring tool magazine with pull-out tool holder bushings activated by a brushless motor.
- Pneumatic controlled tool extractor unit.
The opening of the movable bulkhead dividing the working area and the tool magazine is synchronized with the gripper arm movement thanks to the presence of a cam. This allows to minimize tool change times and simplify the electric control.
Change time (tool-to-tool) could vary from 0.8 to 1.5 depending on the tool weight and on the exchange distance.
Tool change could be operated both with 'random' management and with 'fixed place' without penalizing the tool change time.
Besides magazines could be assembled in parallel, in order to increase their capacity. |

CUT TOOLCHANGERS WITH ROTARY TOOL STORAGE MAGAZINE mechanisms are designated CTM and are designed and manufactured to carry a toolchange gripper arm in an automatic and synchronized motion on machine tools.
The rotary motion magazine is indexed by a disk to a tool exchange position where the tool cell is pivoted 90° by means of a pneumatic cylinder.
When the cell is in the change position, the gripper arm picks up the tool by means of a uniform rotary and linear motion, taking the tool from tool magazine and changing its position with another tool in the machine spindle.
The complete cycle of synchronized motion by the gripper arm made by a single rotation of the input shaft.
CUT TOOLCHANGERS WITH ROTARY TOOL STORAGE MAGAZINES are available in four sizes: CTM 20, CTM 30, CTM 40, CTM 50. These sizes vary depending on the dimensions and characteristics of the tools to be used with the magazine.
The standard capacities of the rotary magazine are 12, 20, 30, or 32 tools.
