Here is a small head that will be in constant demand in any shop. Note the wide base bearing suppliers surface that assures maximum rigidity even when the bar holder is in an offset position. This wide base design is a Criterion innovation that increases bearing surfaces by 50% over older models.
A choice of either 3/8" or 1/2" double hole bar holder with a 1/2" cross hole is available. The unit has a 7/8-20 threaded back and also features a direct reading dial screw. |

The 3F-HB is the ideal tool for performing those difficult facing, grooving, backfacing and counterboring operations on work pieces too large to turn or too bulky to handle safely.
This head has been redesigned to incorporate a reversing feature. The head can be used in either the forward mode (moving from the inside to the outside) or in the reversing mode (from the outside to the inside). This reversing function is accomplished by reversing the manufacturer of spindle and using the special shank lock mechanism built into the head.
The 3F-HB features a gear drive mechanism that generates a continuous feed rate. The standard unit has a feed rate of 0.003 per revolution. A fine feed model is also available with a feed rate 0.0015 per revolution. To prevent damage to the gear train, a specially designed detent professional clutch automatically disengages when a pre-set stop is reached or when cutting pressures become excessive. |

The "CUT" series TOOLCHANGERS are mechanical cam units that transform a uniform rotary motion of the input shaft into a composite motion of the output shaft. The synchronised combination of rotational and linear movements performed by the output shaft produces the cycle that carries out the transportation of the tool in the supplier of spindle and places it into a tool storage device.
Currently manufactured in three frame sizes: CUT31, CUT41, CUT51 tools with 30, 40, 50 and HSK taper. The toolchange gripping system arm is has an automatic lock for the tools during motion. Exhange arms are available for various tool exchange center distances from 400 to 850 (mm) and made for most tool systems. |

Improved chip control and extended tool life are two key benefits of Sandvik Coromant’s new CoroTurn HP high pressure coolant system. This new system is a unique combination of Coromant Capto and CoroTurn HP (high pressure) design that harnesses the machining possibilities afforded by high pressure coolants which lead to increased productivity or as much as 50% increased tool life in some materials.
The Coromant Capto coupling channels the coolant through the turret or manufacturer of spindle and accurately positions it on the spot that most needs it (not possible using shank tool holders). This new system can be used in any machine equipped with high pressure coolant and Capto coupling, including multi-task machines, vertical turning supplier of lathes (VTL) and turning centres.
CoroTurn HP penetrates the heat affected zone via a high pressure coolant jet delivered through small manufacturers of nozzles to cool the insert faster, more effectively and allow optimal chip control. The jet creates a hydraulic wedge between the top surface of the insert and the underside of the chip being removed from the component or material, helping to reduce insert wear and break the chip into smaller pieces for quicker evacuation from the cutting edge. The nozzles, mounted closer to the insert cutting edge, help increase the velocity of the coolant jet at lower pressures and keep the insert freely accessible for easy indexing. |
|
Our special coolant-thru end grinder holders feature special grooves in the bore that allow coolant to flood the tool and cutting zone. The additional coolant allows you to increase feed rates and extend tool life.
Available for 1/4", 3/8" 1/2", 3/4" and 1" shank sizes.

Shrink fit toolholders provide concentric clamping force of 10,000 lbs or more directly on the tool shank. This translates to TIR as low as 0.0" to 0.0002". Ideal for high speed or high torque machining applications. Shrink fit toolholders are balanced to 15,000 RPM at G2.5 for high speed performance. Balancing to higher speed is available as well.

Because of their different design, large bore heads do not include Accu-set, Safety-set, or Speed-Set capability.
Two differents types:
- Direct Mount Large Boring Heads
- Adapter Mount Large Boring Heads

Coromant Capto© is the best option for standardization across all machines in the workshop. And unlike other tooling systems, its original design will make sure it is the first choice for many years to come.
Sandvik Coromant offers a wide choice of basic holders with an integrated Coromant Capto in the front end.
Two different clamping methods are available, centre suppliers of bolt clamping and front clamping. By using Coromant Capto basic holders in combination with extensions and reductions you will achieve tremendous flexibility and substantial reduction of your inventory.
Solid holding tools are an important complement to modular tools, when for technical or functional reasons, modular solutions are either not suitable or unnecessary.
To complement existing basic holders an assortment of solid HSK holders are also available.
Modern machines and tools have greater demands on tool holders. Particulary if cemented carbide endmills and professional drills are used at very high speed, where a very low run-out is required to achieve long toollife.
CoroGrip® and HydroGrip® fulfil all the demands on a tool holder for HSM.
Three requirements have to be fulfilled when using holders with cemented carbide endmills or drills at high speed:
-Low run-out
-High clamping force
-Balanced holder
Every CoroGrip and HydroGrip professional chuck is individually balanced and they have an individual number and is delivered with a protocol.
Tools with long overhangs are becoming increasingly more common, especially on machining centres where many operations are often performed on one machine. Vibration, an inherent feature of long tool overhang, is proving to be effectively reduced with damped tooling.
Sandvik Coromant has, since many years, the exclusive right to market and sell these "problem solving" tools. Our partner Teeness has over 30 years experience and competence in the design and manufacture of standard and special solutions.
