The natural evolution of technology has allowed conceiving these heavy duty slotting machines with 4 CN-axes.
A very innovative solution is the CN system on the axis of ram movement (axis Z) on models 500E, 500EA and 500EA(850).
The CN system on the 4th cutting axis is offering many considerable advantages:
- Drastic reduction of setting time;
- Significant improvement in quality of cutting motion. In fact the Brushless motor with Driver is transmitting a continuous motion with constant torque from beginning to end of cutting cycle;
- Minor wear of the tools, as consequence of the more regular cutting motion in comparison with the conventional slotting machine with Rod system for ram drive.

The new model of slotting machine "type 4AC" is the outcome of our long years as leading manufacturers of Slotting Machines, which has allowed us to widen the range of the already known machines with 1, 2, 3 electronic axes.

New Bihler bushing machine RM 40B
Highest productivity, precision and process security in bush manufacturing
Perfectly designed for the manufacture of cylindrical, straight bushes and flanged bushes, the RM 40B can produce these types of bushes without problems from 6 to 18 mm inner diameter and up to a maximum of 40 mm in long (max. strip dimensions 1.5 mm x 40 mm). The machine speed is infinitely adjustable and varies subject to the type of bush. If the speed, for flanged bushes (collared bushes), is at 250 1/min, it climbs to 400 1/min for cylindrical, straight bushes.
Bihler offers the RM 40B as cost-effective complete package. Flexibility and customisation are the key elements in the Arrow routing centres. The machine can be used to process solid wood furniture, kitchen units, office and bedroom furniture, and is mainly destined for use by large and medium industries. Specialisation in specific machining operations, reliability when working with single, large, thick pieces and in nesting operations, these are the main characteristics of the Arrow processing centre. Thanks to its high level of customisation and its versatility the Arrow router machine is suitable to carry out the widest possible range of machining operations, from solid wood door and window frames to all those operations requiring fast panel feed-through rates. Arrow is available with a flat table or with a bar table, interchangeable with two working units and two different types of tool change device. The structure is extremely rigid, comprising a monolithic base and a beam designed to deal with the highest levels of strain and dynamic stress imposed by the machining operations. Process Control
The control of process variables is achieved via information fed from instruments and gauges to the process controller. Machining parameters are recorded and may be displayed in graphic form on a machine-mounted screen.
A signature analysis of the optimum parameters used for any particular operation can be established. Should the parameters deviate from pre-set bands, a warning signal is generated, allowing suitable action to be taken. As this is often an early warning of potential malfunction of some element of the system, serious damage is avoided.
