For extraction of castings Idra cooperates with ABB and uses the IRB series Robots, also for programming and diagnostic. These are completely integrated in the die casting cell so as to have only one reliable production system.

The DISACOOL Cooling Drum shakes out the mould and cools the castings. Furthermore the cooling drum breaks up the sand lumps, cools the sand, and then screens it, ready for recycling.

The sand and casting cooling drum has been devised to offer modern foundries the possibility to cool sand and castings at the same time, to ease castings cleaning and to control the quantity of fines by means of an appropriate suction.
Obviously, the utilization of a sand and casting cooling drum is to be valued according to the production typology and to its undeniable advantages on the process.
Poured moulds are taken from shakeout to drum by means of a vibrating conveyor. The cooling process is based on the evaporation of the residual moisture of return sand and on the evaporation of the water appropriately added by a conditioning device, which is made up of two parts: one part adds water into the charging area (according to incoming temperature) and the other part adds water into the sand discharge area, if necessary.

Automatic sprayers model PLUS
The PLUS model is created to serve die-casting machines from 400 to 2500 ton. Buold with brushless motors (on both horizontal and vertical axis) it is able to move the 2 axis at the same time in order to allow entries, internal movements and exits from the dies at very high speed (up to 1,2 m/s). In order to satisfy the different needs of any foundry we have created several models where the difference is basically the vertical stroke (1000 mm, 1300 mm, 1500 mm, 1750 mm, 1900 mm) and of course the horizontal axis. The spraying head is equipped with 7 nozzles fixed platen + 7 nozzles movable platen for the smallest model up to more than 40 nozzles fixed platen 40 nozzles movable platen for the biggest model. On demand it permits to use a spraying head divided into 3 working bands independently programmable with double solenoid valves (one for mixing and two for blow) for spraying of a first lubricant. The easy programming of times, speeds and positions is guaranteed by a microprocessor Siemens S7 and a control panel equipped with dies memory.

The LX/L series die lubricator with 1 or 2 axis, assures precise and accurate spraying for easy extraction of castings.
Modular standard lubrication head with adjustable width to adapt to the shape of the casting. On request, lubrication heads of other brands can be mounted.
Spraying cycles are automatically adjusted to any changes made to the program and stored on flash eprom. The Lubricator is supplied with standard functions easy to customize.
Equipped with Siemens S7 Control for flexible and efficient management, as well as a TOUCH-SCREEN operator panel to store all programs on flash eprom.

Shake-out grids are machines using predominantly vertical vibration to separate castings and sand / sand lumps. They are predominantly used for large piece weights and low quantities.
The material is charged by crane. After the process the de-sanded castings are removed by crane. With this facility the sand shaken out is recycled in a downstream treatment plant and returned.
