Sensors
We provide a range of different measurement sensor heads with varying fields of view and performance in order to target a wide range of different applications.
In addition to outputing results measured values such as gap, flush, radius, etc, all sensors are also capable of outputing a point cloud consisting of 10,000 data points for each measurement taken.
GapGun3 sensors are the only handheld devices of their type on the market that are routinely used completely non-contact, eliminating product damage during the measurement process, and increasing accuracy and repeatability (see No Surface Contact)
All GapGun3 sensor heads are compatible with all GapGun3 data collectors and are typically bought as a part of a complete GapGun3 system.
Each head ships with a UKAS traceable calibration certificate.

3-D touch probes from HEIDENHAIN were conceived for use on machine tools – in particular milling machines and machining centers. 3-D touch probes help to save costs in the workshop and in medium-size production runs: NC controls can automatically run setup, measuring and verification tasks – and most controls can also run them under program control.

Your Vibration Isolation Stage for Nanosurf AFMs
The Nanosurf isoStage — the world’s smallest commercially available active vibration isolation system — is available with adapted Sample Stages for Nanite, Mobile S and easyScan 2 AFM systems. The isoStage allows for placement of the Nanosurf Micrometer Translation Stage and easyScope as options for your convenience. It is the optimal isolation solution for your Nanosurf AFM systems, and protects your scans against vibration disturbances.
The isoStage features active isolation in all six degrees of freedom, is extremely small, and moderately priced! The isolation effect begins at 0.6 Hz and reaches 99.0% isolation (–40 dB) at 10 Hz. The setup of the isoStage Table is exceptionally easy. It does not require any adjustment or tuning prior to use. Just place your AFM on the isoStage as you would for your normal Nanosurf Sample Stages, pull the transport lock buttons, turn on the isoStage, and that‘s it!

AIS has two functions:
To protect vibration-sensitive machines from vibrations emanating from the ground and from structural movement within the equipment itself caused by load changes or other machine movements, and to minimize these vibrations and reduce the time of subsidence.
The AIS consists of a PLC, CAN-Bus, 16 bit-Controllers, High Speed electropneumatic servovalves and BiAir air springs and/or HAB horizontal air springs. A range of sizes are available for both the vertical and horizontal air springs. One 16 bitcontroller and one High Speed electro-pneumatic servovalve is used for each air spring or group of air springs. The AIS works with a minimum of 3 groups (degrees or freedom) to a maximum of 6 groups (degrees of freedom).
Features:
- Active electro-pneumatic vibration isolation with up to six degrees of freedom.
- Highly-effective isolation of vibration without resonance amplification.
- Optimal positional precision in both the vertical and horizontal. Minimal deflection and subsidence times when machine changes loads.
- Highly-effective real-time control. SPS, CAN bus, one control unit for each degree of freedom and a highly-dynamic proportional position valve.
- Each control unit has its own processor and an integrated, high-resolution sensor for position, pressure and acceleration.
- Easy-to-use, intelligent WinSNI software for operation and diagnostics.
- Simple digital switching between scanning mode (during sensitive machine operations) and loading mode. (while machine load is being changed)
- No feed-forward signal required.

Analog Signal Transmitters via Radio RDT-4000
Many times is needing to have several measuring points distributed in plant or in field, in these applications the wired cost is often higher than the original instruments fare. The solution is feasible at present thanks to free band radio transmitters. The RDT-4000/... is the state-of-art all in one devices, capable to read up to two analog mA, mV, Pt100, Pulses, etc., variables and to transmit them via Radio from 250 devices max., in peer-to-peer or multipoint modes, to a radio-modem RMT-1000 linked by RS-485 or USB to a PLC or PC .
|
|
Analog two-wire transmitters are used for direct connections of thermocouples or resistance thermometers. The design for thermocouples has a built-in reference junction and is available for a multitude of thermocouple types.
The transmitter converts the signal from the temperature sensor into a standard signal of 4 ... 20 mA (current loop). Depending on the design the signal is displayed temperature-linear (resistance thermometer) or EMF-linear (thermocouple).

Irrespective of their type, all precision levels are based on long-time stabilisation and
reliability, but also on a free measuring base – the centre of the earth. Due to the grav-
itation, the liquid with embedded bubble of gas or the gravity pendulum indicates the
horizontal or vertical level based on this natural reference. Electronic inclinometers or
spirit levels measure the position of the pendulum compared to the measuring faces
fitted on the tool body.

The CMS non-contact capacitive based hole and countersink measurement system has been established as the benchmark in measuring critical holes for military and commercial aircraft manufacturers around the world. Based on its ease of use, speed (measurement accomplished in a few seconds) and extreme accuracy ( /- 5 microns),
It has gained in popularity at various Airbus locations throughout Europe. The CMS system is particularly well adapted to the measurement of tapered holes based on its multi-sensor (48-sensor) approach to inside diameter mapping.
The addition of the CMS product line is a natural extension for Capacitec as they are currently the market leader in the supply of capacitive non-contact gap and displacement measurement sensor systems to the Aerospace market.
