The SMD41/42 series of micro and mini-step drivers is available in 13 different models, with supply voltages from 15VDC to 160VDC, 3, 6 and 9 Amp models, full- half-, mini- and micro-step resolutions that can be changed by dipswitch, up to 25000 step/revolution, and more.
The 160V driver, SMD42 is physically similar to the popular SMD41 mini-step driver, but is intended for high-velocity, high-torque applications. The SMD42 can be powered by a 160VDC supply (compared to 80VDC for the SMD41). This yields up to double the torque at velocities over 500RPM. Heat generation is kept to an absolute minimum through the use of the latest MOSFET technology.
Together with JVL step motor MST 340-342, the 160 V version, SMD42, achieves a remarkable torque of 7-8Nm even at high velocities.

mechapro introduces the HEM-545 2-phase stepper motor driver with significant reduced driver losses. The standard version accepts clock and direction signals. An optional version can also process an analogue speed signal (+/-10V). The driver has a supply range of 15 to 45V= and can be set to motor currents between 2A and 5A. Step modes from full step to 1/16th micro step can be used.
Compared to the previous product the power consumption of motor and driver was reduced up to 35%. Therefore the driver needs no extra heatsink or fan. The board is delivered as a closed unit including an aluminium cover; the size is only 146*77*25mm. Although it is completely made in Germany, the price is competitive to products from Far East. The first units will be available at the end of September.

"Pro" series - Stepper motor control as a complete system!
The system:
The "Pro" series stepper motor controller system leads to a fast setup of a complete controller. Thanks to the backplane the wiring effort is minimized. Also the mechanical machining of the rack is reduced to a minimum. The stepper motor power converter (e.g. our HP-Step.pro or compatible converters) are simply pluged into the rack and fixed at the front. The board holder ensure the position of the board. Complete drilled front plates for our power converters are available as an option. The motors are connected with screw clamps on the backside of the backplane. The distribution of the power voltage from the power supply "Netzteil.pro" to the power converters and the distribution of the logic signals is implemented on the backplane.
Just plug in and start!

Drives catch the signal of a driver unit faster than a traditional power stage. Accordingly, they receive no tact or direction signals, but rather "higher quality commands" such as: Absolute position "goes to zero". Such commands can be stored and called up again by a control unit for example. The direct retrieval of commands over a PC or over an interface on the device is also possible.

High efficiency power stage and axis controller for 2-phase stepper motors
Power supply unit for direct connection to 230 VAC or 115 VAC
GSP 92-70: up to 9 APEAK / 70 V
GSP 172-140: up to 17 APEAK / 140 V
Processor controlled step resolution selection
Dynamically optimised switching from 1/8 step to full step
Digital I/O for direct connection e. g. to a PLC

The Motion Coordinator Euro209 is a 3U Eurocard stepper/servo positioner with the built-in ability to control up to 8 servo or stepper motors in any combination. In addition a single Trio Daughter Board may be fitted to allow the control of an additional axis, communications channel or a digital drive interface allowing up to 16 axes. User programs are written in Trio’s established Multi-Tasking BASIC and applications can be developed using the Windows based MotionPerfect environment. Complex motion profiles are easily programmed and these can be linked to a master encoder input for slaving, gearing and cams.
The ethernet port is controlled by a dedicated Coldfire® communications co-processor allowing fast reliable data communication between the Euro 209 and PC and gives the ability to program multiple cards over an Ethernet LAN. The Euro209 has one RS-232 port and one RS-485 built in that may be configured to run the MODBUS protocol for PLC or HMI interfacing. If the built-in CAN channel is not used for connecting I/O modules, it may optionally be used for CAN communications or as a DeviceNet Slave. USB and Profibus daughter boards may be fitted to provide additional communications options. The Euro209 features a total of 16 axes in software. Any axes not having a hardware interface can be used as a “virtual” axis.
